Classic beach house, shingle shake style, post & beam ceilings, double balconies (ocean view from both) and an open floor plan. Located in the eclectic city of Laguna Beach, CA, one of the most picturesque cities on the Southern California Riviera! (Sunsets and beaches rival the South of France).
Grab your cup of tea or enjoy a glass of wine, read the L.A. Times, or enjoy yet another beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean from one of your two private decks .... exceptional views of Catalina Island and downtown Laguna Beach. The view is just as spectacular in the evening with city lights and an endless sea of night time stars...is that Orion's belt or the Big Dipper? (We have no neighborhood street lights so our skies open up in the evening).
Relax by the wood burning fireplace (it can get cold at night!), take a nap out on the deck, listen to the buzz of the hummingbirds as they fly by (yes, it is so quiet at times you can hear the flutter of their wings!), or enjoy a Net Flix movie on the Internet ready flat panel in the Guest Room...some days the only thing you hear is the owl in the neighborhood.
Large comfortable Master sleeping quarters with Queen sized bed, 2 closets, private balcony. Sit back, relax enjoy the Ocean view while having breakfast in bed!
Guest Room is as relaxing as it looks . . . direct access to a zen style garden that sleeps tranquility.
The beaches and the great dining is close by, but the views keep you mesmerized-endless beautiful sunsets from the decks.

This was our girl’s annual getaway and we couldn’t have found a more perfect place. Ann’s beautiful home accommodated the 6 of us perfectly. We are a group of women sharing 30 + years of friendship. Hotel stays just don’t cut it. We have too much to talk about and catch up on in such a short time, so we needed a space where we can all be together.
The view from Ann’s main room was gorgeous and we could all comfortably share it at the same time. Ann supplied us with a fully stocked kitchen …top of the line blenders, coffee maker (s) toaster, etc... … I can’t think of one thing that we needed that was not supplied. Even linens … I actually took some of my own linens thinking with 6 of us, we may fall short, but Ann supplied all we needed there too.
There is no doubt that Ann’s place will be our first choice for next year.

Ann's house is very lovely and well appointed - we had a fabulous stay. The view from the balconies is breathtaking and the Zen Garden is the perfect retreat from the sun. Ann is a thoughtful host and quick to answer any questions you might have. We instantly fell in love with her space and recognized the love and care she puts into it.
Ann is a great host, and her home is truly beautiful. We had a fantastic time in Laguna Beach, and I could not imagine a better place to relax. Ann's home is close to downtown and the beach, although her place is so wonderful, you may not want to leave its confines. Ann responded promptly in all communications and I would not hesitate to suggest her home to anyone.
Great place. Great vacation.
The pros: the view is gorgeous from this place and the neighborhood is very pretty. Hiking in the Aliso park canyon was spectacular and walking distance from the house. The kitchen was nice and well-stocked with plates, glasses, silver ware and a good dishwasher. Ann was very responsive and friendly. The house had a nice, warm, friendly atmosphere with comfortable living room furniture to relax on and very stylish touches. The fireplace was quite serviceable and warm with blocks of well-seasoned wood that burned quickly. The price for the house is low for such an upscale location. Ann allowed us an extra half hour on Sunday to check out.
The cons: Heating did not work and it was cold in the house. We needed the fireplace and kindling was not provided. To be fair, I did not write to ask the owner how to troubleshoot the heater, and it's possible that she would have been able to help me get it going. The price for this house reflects some issues, which were not fully disclosed. The mattress on one of the two main beds, which was made up with sheets when we arrived, was upholstered and hard - not really a bed mattress at all. The bathroom between the two bedrooms is shared with two doors, and so not private for two couples. But, the most problematic thing is that one member of our party was allergic to cats and there is quite obviously a cat who lives in the house when it is not occupied by Airbnb guests. This really took from the pleasure of the weekend for him and for me as the hostess. Had I seen that the house was normally home to a cat, I would not have booked it. I also found it somewhat inappropriate to find a request that we perform cleaning tasks such as emptying bathroom trash, even though the house included a cleaning fee. Asking guests to load the dishwasher is fine, I think, but asking a hostess to make up beds and empty guests' bathroom trash after she's paid a sizable cleaning fee seems unreasonable to me.
We had a truly lovely stay at Ann"s place. The view is gorgeous, the house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Ann is a wonderful host. We had two little dogs with us which loved the place too! Especially looking at the humming birds getting water at the house next door.
We will definitely come back!
