Sage Cottage is located in the beautiful Pottawatomie County in our own 15 ac Oaklore Forest. The cottage sleeps two on our queen size bed, Has a mini-kitchen and 3-piece bathroom with stand-up shower. The kitchen is equipped with a small bar sink, double hot plate, toaster, microwave, coffee pot, kuerig, toaster oven, small fridge and cooking essentials. There is a bistro table, picnic table, grill & breakfast table inside! Free Wi-Fi, Hot tub open all year, robes, see "other things to note"
The space

The woods completely surround the cottage, not a neighborhood in sight! You can also bring your own projector and screen for movies in the hot tub! see pics!
Guest access
You'll have full access to the cottage area and the 5 acres to the West of the cottage, which will include trails, a small decorative pond with bench, my garden is open to check out, and if we do not have "Hipcampers", then you'll be welcome to explore all other trails and sites. East acres have been known for petrified wood! You find it, you keep it!!Just ask me, and I'll show you...we also have a storm shelter.

This time of year we keep the hot tub COOL , 😎 we have well water, so when I clean, scrub, refill(after every guest) it comes out at about 70 degrees, so you can decide how warm you like it, or how cool. we also have misters on the fence around the tub to keep you cool, plus a shade sail.... feel free to bring your floaties and use it like a tiny pool!!! lol
Breakfast choices-(served on Saturday and Sunday mornings and delivered to your door! Weekend breakfast is complimentary, tips always appreciated!:) Weekday breakfast can be available if pre-arranged at the time of your reservation and if we do not have prior obligations. Weekday breakfast is $25 total for two, and tips are definitely appreciated! We accept all forms of payment except checks.
“The Full Monty” -this is a traditional English “Fry Up” including fried eggs on toast, topped with traditional baked beans, thinly sliced tomato and fresh sage...European style sausages and a side of fresh fruit
“Poor Knight’s Pudding” - Traditional French bread sliced thick and prepared with pure vanilla, cinnamon and heavy cream then fried to a golden brown…. I’ll then add some seasonal fruit and sprinkle confectioner’s sugar on top. Served with a generous side of bacon, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit on the side.
“The Chiggy Picken” Traditional bacon and eggs served with a side of toast and fresh fruit.
"The Okla-Homey" Fresh cut fried potatoes, fried or scrambled eggs, bacon with a side of fresh fruit.
: Vegetarian –and Vegan…. - Depending on your specifics and what we have available, usually fried potatoes and veggies, eggs maybe….. we can just figure out what you like and we’ll come up with something amazing!
****If you prefer: We can also put some continental style breakfast items inside the cottage if you would rather not be disturbed.
Smoking of ANY KIND is only permitted outside. PLEASE NO CANDLES IN THE COTTAGE....bring battery operated only, 2 already in. We are medical card /smoking friendly in outdoor areas.
For streaming on the TV in the cottage, guests can "mirror" from their own device, or use the ROKU in the cottage. We have a selection of DVD's in the cottage as well. There is Wi-Fi if guests would like to bring a portable speaker device to listen to music/watch movies by the hot tub. Guests sometimes even bring outdoor screens and projectors for the hot tub area!
We have a wonderful A/C and heating unit that keeps the cottage super cold in the heat of summer and super cozy even in the coldest winter Months!
Note: Charcoal and lighter fluid are NOT provided, but we usually have wood for the fire pit. If it's been raining a lot, we suggest guests bring at least some dry or a "fire log" to help get it going. Please understand we must adhere to local fire danger alerts. just ask....:)

PET POLICY:Don't forget to add your pet to your reservation!We strongly recommend guests have a fresh flea and tick treatment on their animals before bringing them as there are lots of ticks in the woods. Please limit to two pets, and remember that the cottage is small and room for two separate crates would be difficult to fit in. Animal refuse MUST be bagged and removed, there will be a shovel for guests to use. Animals are NEVER to be left alone in the cottage without being in a crate. Please try to keep your animals out of the flower beds and if they shed, please sweep up their hair as much as possible before you leave! :)
The hammock is up in the summer months and sometimes we take it down in late winter.
Hot tub is open all year and instructions are posted ... open to the sky, perfectly private, stars galore, and not a street light in sight!!!! If it's super hot outside, bring a small floatie, and we can show you how to turn on the misters! 😎 And, the most fun is if you bring YOUR OWN projector and white backdrop(can even be a sheet) and clips to attach to the fence, movies in the hot tub with your small "recliner floaties" is THE BEST!(see pics of our own set up!) please note, this is "BRING YOUR OWN ":)
We have an extension cord to reach outdoor plug..fyi... Shelf to sit projectors on is about 7 inches deep. See "Additional photos" Please remember that water and electricity don't mix :)!!

FUN FACT..... we have a tradition that every New Years Eve, we ring the Big Bell on our house, and we encourage you to join in by ringing the Small Bell on the Cottage at midnight!!!!! And a loud "HAPPY NEW YEAR "!!
Although we are medical card (4:20) friendly and cool, we absolutely will not tolerate ANY KIND of illegal drugs on our property. If you are thinking that this would be a fun place to do your mushrooms , or "Zoomies" think again. We don't like it, we don't want it. The only times we've ever had problems is because of this YUK !:)
