Great location and only a 2 minute walk to the metro. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Very cute and quaint! Lois went out of her way to accommodate us in every way possible! GREAT DEAL!
Stayed in Columbia Heights 6/12 for 8 nights. Lois H was excellent communicator by hone and e-mail and took care of any of our immediate needs. The unit was near the yellow Metro Line. (maybe a 3 minute walk) The area is in transition with many remodels and upgrades and is packed with services. We four hit the sightseeing hard with over 35 major highlights visited. I think this unit and its location worked well for us. It was quiet, clean and well appointed. We slept very sound. The IHop (open 24-7) and Panera around the corner became our hangout. Felt safe and secure and would stay again.
Lois was fantastic at communicating and extremly nice. The apartment is simply amazing, you get everything you could wish for. It was super clean, well-decorated, practical and quiet. The metro stop is 3min walk and sores are nearby. If you look for a nice place to stay in DC for reasonable price, this is it! Thank you Lois!!!
We stayed on the third floor with our 3.5 year old daughter and loved it. Perfect size for the three of us, beds were extremely comfortable, lots of light, able to use the kitchen comfortably, convenient location and any questions and/or issues were resolved very quickly and easily. Really, really nice.
We came to DC for a mini-vacation with our two young children and had an absolutely wonderful time. The DC is fantastic -- the people are friendly, the city itself is beautiful, it is easy to get around -- not to mention many of the museums are free. We very much enjoyed staying in the Columbia Heights neighborhood at one of Lois Houston's properties. We were on the top floor of a well-maintained brownstone. We loved our accommodations and would definitely stay here again.
Lois's apartment in Columbia Heights was just about perfect for our stay. It's tastefully decorated, completely renovated in a charming older building with lovely period details, and all the amenities we could want. It's located in Columbia Heights on a residential street 3 blocks from the Metro and chain stores that have practically anything you might need for your visit. Lois and her manager were very accommodating and prompt to answer our requests. They provided us with a parking permit so we could leave our car parked on a side street throughout our visit. And when we needed to stay an extra night, Lois quickly and graciously managed it for us.
We will definitely stay at Lois's apartment on our next visit to Washington.
