About this listing
A massive, sun-filled living room awaits you! On Greenpoint's main strip, adjacent to McCarren Park and close to the G and L trains, this apartment is the perfect base for a NYC trip.
The apartment is a large full floor unit with windows on all sides. It is situated above a bar, but if you are doing your NYC trip right you should be too tired to notice. It is probably not for the lightest of light sleepers - though our preschooler sleeps through it just fine.
Two people can sleep comfortably on the queen-sized Tempurpedic in the bedroom with double blackout curtains. One more can be accommodated on the couch in the living room (we also have an air mattress available upon request).
Keep your tasty leftovers in the fridge and enjoy breakfast and coffee at the dining room table before you go out for the day. Your reservation includes enough beans to make a pot of coffee every morning of your stay and an assortment of teas.
The bathroom is huge by Brooklyn standards and the shower has great water pressure.
Wireless internet and a washer-dryer in unit are also available. We don't have cable, but our television is connected to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBOGo.
Interaction with guests
We try to greet guests and give them the keys when our schedule permits.
We will leave you a list of some of our favorite spots in the neighborhood as well as a subway map.
The apartment is located in the heart of North Brooklyn on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg, just blocks from great restaurants, cool bars, and excellent coffee shops. We will leave you a list of some of our recommendations but the neighborhood is perfect for exploring. We are only one stop from Manhattan on the L train or explore other neighborhoods in Brooklyn along the G train.
The building is adjacent the McCarren Park -- home to a large outdoor swimming pool in the summer, quarter-mile track, indoor fitness center, year round Tuesday and Saturday farmer's market, children's playground, and great people watching.
5 minute walk to the G train.
12 minutes walk to the L train.
Buses: B43, B48, B62 (stop right outside the door)
Affordable taxi or car service ride to/from LGA and JFK.
Other things to note
Nothing is worse than spending your first or last day in NYC wandering around with your suitcase. Check-in and check-out times are flexible and we are happy to try to accommodate you when possible.
No parties. No smoking. No pets.
Resident of North Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Bushwick, Greenpoint) for 15 years.
Art and music aficionado. Passionate about food service and the restaurant culture of NYC.
Airbnb is my preferred style of traveling. Having a place that feels like home, rather than a hotel room that feels like it could be anywhere in the world, is crucial to my enjoyment of a new place.
