Great for quick stays! We're super nice but busy and can't usually hang out; not the best listing if you're looking for a social experience, but great if you're independent and already have a plan. Check in after 5 pm, check out: by 11 am. Breakfast

The Space

Please respect our check-in time of 5:00pm or later. It's just how we make sure the place is clean and welcoming for you when you arrive. We know you don't mind, you've seen it all, you're cool with anything, etc. But the thing is, it's not for you; it's for us. We have a sense of pride about how we present our place to guests, and we want to maintain it. So please please please don't ask for an exception. Come at 5 or later, and then feel free to act like a rock star.

Welcome to our home!

You'll get a key and you're welcome to come and go as you please, whether we're home or not. If we're not going to be here when you arrive, we'll hide the key for you. You don't have to report to us. We're not your mom.

Late-night arrivals are no problem!

Though we love hosting on Airbnb and giving our guests a great experience, our schedules don't permit us to hang out much, so this is a great place to stay if you already have a plan or you're here for business or family. We're really good with public transit, so we can help you find your way around L.A. on buses and trains. People also love the big map of the city on our wall.

We're offering our living room, which is a shared space. It's arranged so you'll have your own little area that we don't need to walk through (rearranged since photos). We'll hang a curtain over the hallway door at night for your privacy. No need to get up or go to bed when we do - we'll try to be quiet if you're sleeping.

We have an air mattress and/or a leather couch available for sleeping. We'll set it all up for you with (truly) clean sheets and pillowcases.

We keep the bathroom clean and it's easy to access; you don't have to walk through our bedroom or anything. We provide fresh towels and washcloths.

You're welcome to cook your food in our kitchen and use our fridge. The tea and coffee on the counter is for you. We will also provide a self-serve breakfast: eggs, oatmeal, and fruit plus anything else we have on hand.

We have wireless Internet access and the building has coin-operated laundry.

If you need specific bus and/or train directions to our place, definitely ask. We also have a handy info sheet with detailed bus directions from our place to some cool spots in L.A.

There's good street parking in our neighborhood, and you should be able to find a nearby spot without too much trouble. Watch out for street sweeping signs on Thursdays and Fridays from 12pm to 3pm.

Interaction with Guests

This is a great place to stay if you're independent and have a plan, but not if you need a social experience. We're super nice, but we're also really busy and can't usually hang out much. You're welcome here, so just come in like you own the place.

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is safe and close to everything. Very easy to walk to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and grocery stores.

  • Kerri and Jeff are the best !! I had an excellent stay at their place. Their appartment is beautiful and welcoming, and I had an amazing sleep on their couch ! They also helped me a lot, answered my questions and were very friendly ! I hope I'll see you again soon !

  • They were very hospitable. The couch was comfy. The place was neatly decorated. When I woke up they had breakfast for me. It was a great overall experience for a quick and easy place I needed to crash that night.

  • Kerri and Jeff were great hosts. The location was great, the couch was comfy and the shower was nice and clean. They even added a map on the wall of where all their guests have come from and included a few breakfast items. I appreciated that they added a room divider and curtain to make the space feel more private. I would stay with them again!

  • Kerri and Jeff are great hosts and I really enjoy their company. They offered me a breakfast and we discussed about Los Angeles and Paris. I had pleasant time with these charming persons and I recommend them at 200%.

Their couch is very comfortable and after a long journey by plane I slept like a baby! Their apt is cosy and warmy and well situated if you want to explore Santa Monica.

I hope one day we'll meet again ;)

  • I absolutely loved staying here! The apartment was unique and comfortable. Jeff and Kerri were so great about me getting in late after a concert. Everything was exactly as promised. They also had the greatest set up for outlets. The one thing that's always the most frustrating is finding a place to plug in your chargers...but not here! Sure the coach isn't crazy huge, but it was honestly one of the best sleeps on a couch I have ever had. Although I was essentially in a strangers living room, I felt like I had plenty of privacy with the screen they set up and the curtain to the hallway. I didn't have to worry about getting caught drooling in the morning!

I would say the only complaint I have is that I didn't get to meet the awesome couple with a great apartment. I was on a week long trip around California and the night I stayed with them was the only one I wasn't able to work something out with friends and family. Finding this place took all the stress away. They responded within minutes of my first message and had everything sorted and set up within less than an hour. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

  • It's not the most comfortable couch as it kinda sinks in but you get what you pay for haha. I didn't get to really interact with Jeff and Kerri for very long but they were super accommodating and even let me keep my stuff at the apartment on the day I was supposed to check out until 7pm while I was at an externship. The place is very close to the beach and UCLA campus and about an hour bus ride from LAX so it's a pretty convenient location. You can't go wrong with booking this place if you don't really care too much about comfort and only there for a day or two.

  • Jeff and Kerri responded very quickly, although we only met briefly I had a very good time staying at their place. Thanks a lot! :)

  • A whimsical & crafted space with wonderment. K & J are sweethearts and provided a comfortable couch. Administration was highly organized & delivers BnB to a perfect recipe. Great location to explore further West LA -- easy transit access to beaches and cultural attractions & close to the airport. Neighborhood is safe & peaceful.

  • Kerri was very nice and welcoming. The couch was all set up when I came and she even provided me with a lift to my meeting in the morning.

  • I had a great stay on Kerri and Jeff's couch. It was exactly what I needed for one night in Santa Monica. Comfy couch, lovely decor, and plenty to eat, drink, and do in the neighborhood. They were very gracious and friendly hosts. Very knowledgeable about public transit as well. I can't recommend them highly enough. Great stay with great hosts.
