Getting to RIMOLLE / VIA PRATOMAGNO 27 – POPPI (AREZZO)
Motorway Rome-Florence / or Florence-Rome. Take the exit for Arezzo, drive towards Arezzo city centre, when you get to a roundabout follow the direction for BIBBIENA. Keep on following the sign for BIBBIENA (POPPI). Drive past BIBBIENA following the sign for POPPI. Once arrived in Ponte a Poppi, keep on driving on via Roma past Piazza Garibaldi, turn on the left at Piazza Risorgimento and on the left again on Via Nazario Sauro. Take the bridge on the river Arno and turn on the right after Rosso Birra restaurant. Keep on driving till you get to a crossroad, follow the sign for Quota/Pratomagno up the hill. You’re in via Pratomagno, keep on going up the hill till you find a sign for Rimolle on your right handside.

PRATOMAGNO – a nice hike. Be equipped with a good pair of sneakers. Once on the top, where the cross stands, you can see Florence if the sky’s clear enough.
LA VERNA – Franciscan sanctuary and monastery perched on a sheer cliff. Hairpin bend road (drive towards Bibbiena and follow the sign to Chiusi La Verna).
