  • Bill was great! Apartment was easy to get to, easy to navigate; everything was extremely clear and laid-out. What a great Air BnB experience. We would definitely stay here again. Apartment is HUGE and we had no issues with 3 people. No complaints whatsoever! We even went to a show at the Regency on Saturday night, which was across the street. We were very independent and familiar with San Francisco, so Bill was a great host in the sense that we didn't have any interaction with him but could have if we needed something.

  • Amazing apartment. Pictures don't do the feeling of it justice with the large windows and the view. Bedroom was very comfortable. Everything felt luxurious with lots of San Fran character. The kitchen was across a shared hallway. Didn't bother us at all but was a bit of a surprise upon arrival. Owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, and even told us about some of the interesting history of the unit as we were on our way out. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • We had a great stay at Bill's penthouse. We explored San Fran during our weeklong stay and this place was very convenient! We walked almost everywhere, we loved walking to Fisherman's Wharf and Chinatown. The bus stop was also very convenient. The beds were very comfortable and the child locks on the doors made me feel comfortable with my 4 yo. We enjoyed going out on the balcony, the view is fantastic! While we were able to enjoy the kitchen, there are also many eating options nearby.

Check-in and checkout were very easy. Bill was very easy to talk to and he responded quickly when we had a question. Would definitely stay here again!

  • William's Penthouse was amazing! It was able to hold 4 of us in such a large space comfortably. It also was close enough to many of the attractions around San Francisco. William was very good with communicating with us and everything was done with ease. Thank you for letting us use your great place!

  • Place was just as described/pictured. Great location with excellent views. Quick two block walk to plenty of bars and restaurants and trolley. William was very responsive and helpful which included suggestions of what to do in San Francisco but also as we continued our travels on south.

  • We had a great stay in William's penthouse apartment. The place is set up with everything you need, and a great location. William was great - quick communications, all very easy, and very much appreciated being able to leave our luggage for an extra few hours before our flight. We were fortunate enough to be around for some on San Francisco's hottest days so the apartment did get very warm in the mornings - but nothing that the fan and some open windows didn't fix (and suspect this isn't an issue for most of the year). I would absolutely recommend this place as a fun, convenient, and comfortable base in San Francisco.

Will definitely contact William again if we're coming back.

  • This apartment is perfect! There were 4 of us total, and there was more than enough space to accommodate all of us. Liam was easily accessible and left very clear instructions. The billiards table was great to keep us busy when we were lounging at the apartment before exploring San Francisco. Most importantly, the apartment's location was perfect-- it's not far from tourist attractions in any direction and there was a garage right across the street where we parked the car for the weekend.

  • We were three adults staying in William's 1920's Batchelor Penthouse. William met us when we arrived and showed us through the property giving us the run down of what we can and can't do or use.
My brother said he was very comfortable on the mattress beside the pool table while we enjoyed the huge main bedroom on the next level which had a king size super comfortable bed too. The property was easy to get to and roomy enough for the three of us for the six days we were there. Easy access to public transport mainly bus, tram and taxi and at times we used old fashioned leg work which I would not recommend (very exhausting always going up hill). We did feel we were pretty close to most amenities so used all the above when needed even trying the Bart.
It was great to have a choice of local restaurants that we could easily walk to safely at night in the surrounding streets.
The main issue we had was the property is located on a very busy street with a hospital nearby so you can hear traffic noise and emergency services screaming past any time of the day/night. The traffic noise starts early in the morning which is particularly disturbing for the person sleeping near the pool table as the window has vertical blinds that don't block out noise or sunlight.
It did feel like we had moved in to someone else's place as they had just left. The separate kitchen was not properly cleaned before our arrival. In the bedroom, a males clothes were still in the drawers so had the feeling they would drop in to grab a few things at any moment. Couldn't see the point in having the towels for show in the bathroom if we could not use them so put them away as we required more hanging space than was provided and put them back when we left.
We consider when paying to stay somewhere an owner would store away anything they don't want people to use and make certain everything is just clean and tidy.

Either way it wasn't too bad of an experience so thank you to William the host.
