3-Bedroom Storybook Tudor home with spacious backyard in the heart of South Pasadena. Perfect for a family, or business and pleasure travelers looking for somewhere close to Downtown LA and Pasadena. Walk to Trader Joes, restaurants and the Gold Line train. For the Rose Parade, you can take the Gold Line Metro train (which is a six minute walk from the house) ONE STOP and you are right there without parking hassles.

The house is only available for weekly or monthly rentals during the summer!

The space

This is large lovely Storybook Tudor style home with 3 bedrooms in a NICE residential neighborhood. Many of the guests who have stayed here were in town for weddings and family reunions and were looking for an alternative to a hotel so they could all be together in a relaxing and private environment. Other guests have been groups of friends converging together from different parts of the world for events at Caltech, JPL, and the Rose Parade.

Guest access

They have the entire house privately and access to the patio (which has a patio table and bbq) and the yard with a massive green lawn and garden boxes on a timer.

Interaction with guests

There will always be somebody available to assist you with anything related to the house while you are staying!

Other things to note

1) There is one tenant who lives in the ground floor addition to the main house. His studio shares two walls with the main house, but he has his own kitchen and bathroom. He enters and exits the property through a locked side gate and does not have access to the main house.
2) There is a 2nd tenant who lives in a guest house at the back of the property. He enters and exits the property through a locked side gate and does not have access to the main house.

Parking - You can easily park two vehicles in the driveway (though for stays longer than a week, I will need to leave my car at the end of the driveway so just one car of any sizie will fit). Just don't block the sidewalk with a vehicle because people walk around a lot in our neighborhood. You can also park cars on the street all day, but from 2am-6am an overnight pass is required. You can easily get 1-day overnight passes ($2) at the Police Department located at 1422 Mission Street from a kiosk.

Our black cat Lucy lives on the property . She is predominantly an outside cat. But she stay with a friend when Airbnb guests stay unless you request for her around (kids love her). She is shorthair, has no fleas (Advantage), and is as sweet as sugar.

Jaime is a FANTASTIC host! We spent a month at Jaime's home while my daughter played Water Polo. I was with my two daughters (8 and 15). The house had everything we needed and was just as described. Her home was large enough to comfortably house the three of us and my husband on a few weekends. We also had another teen living with us for a week on an air mattress which Jaime provided. There was plenty of space for all of us even with one bathroom. Jaime took me on a FaceTime tour before we contracted so all of my questions were answered up front (mostly logistical in nature due to our long stay- as I said the house was just as described), but it made me very comfortable about moving into someone else's space for an entire month. Jaime is a GREAT communicator - she is VERY organized and responsive. She even left fresh yellow tulips for us! Over the course of the month were able to manage through a few things that came up with the house via text even though she was out of the country. The house is clean and has everything you will need - it really feels like home. There was room to store all of our things and beds are great for sleeping (one is a pull out sofa but my 8 year old said it was super comfortable)! The outdoor space is bright and sunny. Her furniture is clean and modern (and comfy) - I wish we were there during cooler months so we could have made a fire! The house is in a GREAT location- I have decided that I am going to live in her neighborhood in my next life :) Trader Joe's is around the corner and Von's is just a few blocks away. We found many delish places to eat (our fav was Mike & Anne's ... I literally think we were there 2x a week!). We also loved Heirloom breakfasts - an easy 1/2 mile walk. And it's super easy to get to most places in LA from her location as she is right near a few freeways. I loved running and biking up Arroyo Drive - I'm going to miss that run! While we were there we took care of Lucy, Jaime's cat, she is adorable and friendly and my girls took to her immediately. We hope that we will be able to return again soon!

Great neighborhood on a quiet street conveniently around the corner from Trader Joe's. Great communication by Jaime prior to arrival. Jaime left a very detailed notebook with clear instructions about the home as well as things to do in the area. The house was neat and orderly. Would certainly stay again when back in LA. Great central location for us as we visited family and saw many of the touristy LA exhibits. Thanks for opening your home to us.

Great neighborhood on a quiet street conveniently around the corner from Trader Joe's and walking distance to restaurants etc. The house was perfect for our group (two families with small kids). The host (Jaime) was helpful and gracious. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Jaime's lovely home in South Pasadena. My family (6 adults + 1 toddler + 1 baby) stayed there during my wedding weekend. First, Jaime is a wonderful hostess. Communication with her before the stay was easy, and she went out of her way to make sure my family had what they needed. Secondly, the house itself is really lovely. It has a nice common area on the ground floor that the family used often to congregate in. The kitchen was excellent (we did a lot of cooking). And all of the bedrooms worked great, especially the larger downstairs bedroom unit where my sister and the kids had a larger space. Overall, Jaime's place was perfect for our stay and Jaime herself went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place.

The house is exactly what I expected. It was very spacious and had everything we needed. The backyard deck was nice to enjoy my morning coffee. The proximity to the grocery store and other cute shops and restaurants was a huge plus in my book. Jaime made sure we had all the information we needed leading up to our stay. She was respectful of our privacy, and a great host! We were okay with having the cat around the house, but other people might not like that. Jaime is very accommodating and she let us have the option. The neighborhood seemed very friendly and safe. I would definitely stay here again!

Internet professional, author, college professor, mom, foodie, born in Hollywood, spent my adult life in NY. I am traveling A LOT these days because of my book and getting asked to speak at lots of tech conferences and do workshops all over the world. I like things to be clean, nice and peaceful. Unless of course I'm seeing some weird obscure band play live, and in that case I can handle noise and chaos.
