The Space

************** THIS IS THE COOLEST AREA OF PARIS **************
(as stated by the popular cultural newspaper in France "Les Inrocks")

Enjoy real parisian ambiance. Blend of old and trendy area with many art galleries...

.3 minutes walk from Metro station Pyrénées.
.Ground floor.
.Studio 26 square metres.
.American kitchen, fully equipped for cooking, make your breakfast...
.Internet and free world wide phone to call your family and friends anywhere (on a landline).
.About the beds :
- A very good sofa bed (for 2 people).
- Loft with a bed (for 2 people).

***** Delicious bakery right on my street ... :P *****

My street is famous in Paris because of her charm and because of the record of Yann Tiersen ("Amelie Poulain").

Some advices:
. From my place you have the most beautiful view of Paris, it's just at 2 minutes from my apartment (Parc de Belleville). There, you have a wonderful view of the Effeil Tower.
. You are at 10 minutes by feet of the greatest place to have a drink in an area full of bars and people (Rue Oberkampf).
. By subway you are at 10 minutes of the shops's center of Paris (Châtelet). And at 7 minutes of the very famous Gay area called "Le Marais". You don't need any transfers, it's direct.
. You are by feet at 20 minutes of the famous cemetery "Père Lachaise" (Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison), but you can also take a bike (there is few stations around my place) and you'll be there in 5 minutes.
. You are also at 12 minutes by feet of the biggest and the best park of Paris "Les Buttes Chaumont", a magical place in Paris.

My subway station is Pyrenees.

I'm a welcoming host, and love to share my Paris's life.

*** My flat is also gay friendly :) ***

  • I just finished spending TWO FULL WEEKS in Brice’s apartment. I come to Paris on a regular basis for work every month, but staying at his place made this my very favorite trip to Paris!

The Apartment: First of all the apartment itself is absolutely charming---with really fun artwork and décor. The apartment was very clean and both the sofa bed and the loft bed are incredibly comfortable. Usually when I stay in Paris I book a hotel, but after staying at Brice’s place it will be impossible to go back to staying in boring hotel rooms.

The Neighborhood: It will be nearly impossible for you NOT to fall in love with the 20eme arrondissement. So many great bars, restaurants, and adorable little shops within a 2-3 minute walk of the apartment. Everything you need is right nearby. Also, the apartment is located equidistant from 2 metro stops which makes it incredibly easy to get around to other neighborhoods in Paris. This neighborhood is about as charming as Paris gets!

About Brice: You can’t really ask for a better host. He’s a very sweet and welcoming host who really wants to make sure you enjoy your stay. When he says “My place is your place” he really means it. If you have any problems or questions he’ll be there to help you.

In short, you won’t regret staying with here!

  • Brice is one of the nicest and most helpful people! My sister and I felt instantly comfortable and after a few days his apartment felt like a home away from home.
The apartment was in such a quiet, convenient location (15mins on Metro to Châtelet) and close to some really cool restaurants, absent of any tourists. It was very clean, organised and had all the essentials for a short stay in Paris.

Definitely staying here next time I visit Paris!

  • Brice was a great host! He came to meet us at midnight when we arrived in Paris and was very accommodating and friendly. The place was comfortable for four people. The area is also very nice with a great restaurant and bakery nearby.

  • Brice is a really cool guy. His little flat in Paris is really cute and sweet. I like the artistic touch in his place very much.

Brice is also very helpful when we have questions. The only small thing might be the hot water in the shower. After a shower, we had
to wait till it hits up again, so the next can go in, but it was not a big
    deal at all.

I will recommend anyone to go stay in this apartment :)

  • *Honest Review*

1.Actually we did really look forward to go this place because photos were nice and people's review was good.

2.I think more than 2 people will NEVER can stay his place. It it REALLY tiny.

3.Smelly. The house (I think it's 'a room' rather than a house) is stained with dirt and tabacco.

4.Toilet was broken. So we had to do 'invisible chair' everytime we go to bethroom. Also the light in the bethroom was out of order, too.

5.The microwave was out of order.

6.This place is kinda DANGEROUS. We were 5, but at night, douche bags were hanging around the place and tried to get into the room. Some of them hit the window and strangers keep asked the password of the main door. So we couldn't open the window at all although it was so hot without an airconditioner. And they stayed until 1-2am so we coudln't sleep at all.

(website hidden) the shower booth, hair was keep coming out even though I took a shower right after the cleaning lady left. In addition, we made an appointment at 3:15 but she leaved at 5pm^^. She stayed near 2 hours in poky little room so we couldn't do anything. Also for 2 hours she was keep talking to the phone. I think she wanted to use Brice's phone. Finally I didn't know she was really cleaning or talking through the phone.. I don't know!

To travelers, in strange city, the accomodation is really important. I went paris several times but this apartment was hell among lodgings I ever took.

But If you are 1 or 2 people and can stand dirty or smell well, this place will be ok. And there are lots of cuty things so it could be romantic maybe you are couple. But to ordinary people, sadly I don't recommend this place...

    Response from Brice:

PLEASE ! Just read the others reviews, this one is totally fake !!!

It's very hard to read that ! It's just totally fake ! This girl is crazy... I found my flat full of garbage, everywhere, like mountains, it was a nightmare and impossible to understand how she can sleeps with all that around her... If you read her review, you can't understand how she can be that dirty and complain about my flat...

She posts this review after I wrote a bad review on her profile ! It's so sad...

However, she ask me before to come how it would be to stay at 6 in my flat, and I answer like it is already explain in my profile : for 6, you just can sleep, not live in my flat ! My flat is made for 4 people in holidays ! It's explain on my profile, and you can read all the others review before her and you'll understand that she's more than offensive about my flat and my area, everybody is happy staying in my flat ! Never had any problems...

  • A very cute, funky apartment in a nice area! I would recommend for up to 4 people, it was very small for the 6 of us but we managed fine! We had an amazing time in Paris and Brice was a great host even though we didn't meet him! Thanks!

  • Brice's place is pretty great - great neighborhood, easy to find, close to the metro, etc.
If you stay there, walk over to the Belleville park and watch the sunset one of the nights that you are there - it is the best view of paris that there is!

  • Great host! The room is a little too small for six person, but it is comfortable! Good location.

    June 2013
    Response from Brice:

Yes that's true but it's already explain in my flat's profile ! 6 people it's almost only to sleep in my apartment, 4 people is to live there :) It's the same for the review of Jen W, they came at 6 too.

  • Brice's apartment was small but had all the things we needed, and close to the subway station. He was on hand to answer our questions and waited for us when we were late arriving. We would recommend this place for anyone visiting Paris!

    May 2013
  • Brice was the greatest host! We were a little late because our cab got stuck in traffic, but Brice was as nice as ever. He gave us a metro map and suggestions on where to go in the neighborhood. This is one of the most eclectic and well-designed apartments I have seen! Me and my 3 friends were instantly comfortable. It is a tight squeeze for 4 people, but it definitely works! There is a delicious Patisserie up the hill when you walk left out of the apartment. The area was wonderful, not touristy at all, and at the end of every night we loved just hanging out in the apartment.
