The Pyramids Loft is a four apartment house with a breathtaking pyramid view; the best in town! We have it fixed with a barbecue and cushions on the shared rooftop. The rooms for rent are spacious, furnished, clean, and safe.
The price is per room per night in one of the apartments which all have four bedrooms. The apartments all have shared living rooms furnished with a sitting area, a table, and cable TV. There is wireless internet access in the whole building.
The area is away from downtown, but you will have no difficulty finding everything you need nearby. There are supermarkets open 24/7, souvenir shops, swimming pools, cafés and restaurants, and even a golf course right at the foot of the pyramids. If you want to go downtown, the transportation is efficient and very cheap, costing no more than 50 cents!
It was great experience to stay at Thomas's place which has great view of pyramids very closely and very supportive to make the environment comfortable. He show me around the area of Giza and pyramids that is not something you do not experience if you are by yourself.
The home of Thomas is the best place in Egypt. In front of the pyramids, you can walk up to them, or rent a camel friends Thomas. Thomas was an excellent host, helped me with airport transfer, meals, a tour of the pyramids and could still attend a wheel Chicha (Narghile) and beer with your friends. Also, helped me catch the train to Luxor.
The bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are clean, the WIFI is very good and the bed is comfortable. The terrçao is an excellent place for you to watch the sunset taking a tea, coffee or a beer! The neighborhood is super quiet and silecionsa, you sleep peacefully, with only the sounds of horses and camels :)
Near the house there are several choices of food, Egiptin or American (like Pizza Hut), several small markets and bakeries where you can buy everything you need.
Além disso, me ajudou a pegar o trem para Luxor.
Ahmed knows Cairo back-to-back and will go out of his way to make sure you are comfortable both in and out of the home, a perfect host. A very social space! I would highly recommend staying here to anybody visiting Cairo.
I can't say enough good things about this place so far. I have plans to stay in Egypt for a year, and I thought I'd spend my first week at the Pyramids loft and then go from there. Two weeks and about 30 new friends later, I'm still here, and I don't have plans to leave.
My time at the Pyramids Loft was great. Thomas was a really nice host, always ready to answer my questions. My first night he showed me around the town.
The loft is very close to the pyramids and has a great view. It was a little far from downtown, but you can reach it in about 45 minutes depending on traffic if you take a taxi to the metro. It won't cost you more than a few dollars.
The bed is comfortable and the wifi is good.
Thomas is a wonderful host. He offered to pick us up and take us back to the airport and was constantly ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. He even lent us a cellphone to use to contact him and guidebook. He was helpful with tips and advice about the local way of life. The room was excellent with stunning views over the pyramids just a step outside the door! Would happily recommend staying here to anyone. Although Western travel advisories warn against travel to Egypt we couldn't have felt safer.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Thomas (Ahmed) about 6 or 7 months before my arrival. He is a great host and took time off to show me around, and when he couldn't be with me he sent me off with friends or tour guides. The house is like it is in the pictures and the view from the rooftop is amazing. I look forward to coming back here in the future.
Thomas is a great host. From day one in Cairo, he helped me in whatever way he could. He does it without any monetary expectation, he just wants to ensure that guests have a great, safe, and economic stay in Cairo. You will most definitely not go wrong staying at the Pyramid lofts...
Of course the view is absolutely gorgeous--the pictures don't do it justice. The roof of the hostel is a mosaic that is reminiscent of Guadi'a park Guell. This is the place to be if you are visiting Cairo. Kudos Thomas!
Staying in the loft is a great way to experience Cairo. The quiet is invaluable, silence except for the occasional horse whinny. Thomas is devoted to the comfort and convenience of his guests, and the company of other guests is also a plus. While not for the faint of heart in the summer months (it's super hot), I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cairo.
Thomas treated us like we were old friends coming to visit. He took us through Cairo, showed us where to find everything we'd need, and brought us to his favorite restaurants. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
