Interaction with guests

Hi, I'm Vicki, the owner. In your room you will find a guide book that gives you lots of useful info. Internet codes, fun things to see and do, how to get around, local grocery stores etc. I have lived in the area for 40 years and I'm happy to give recommendations! You can call or text me at . I give you your privacy but I am just a phone call away if you need anything.

You can also check out my blog for local events and off the beaten path attractions @ sunset house and

A little about the garden. The property is a certified wild life habitat. The gardens do not look like a traditional English style garden because I practice a system/lifestyle called permaculture. In a nutshell, a permanent culture that renews itself naturally.

Feel free to wander around, use the sitting areas and gas grill. It is not uncommon to see an Egret hunting for his dinner in the garden. We are also home to the endangered Monarch Butterflies. During your stay you are likely to see Oreo, a rescue bunny who lives in the garden. She is allowed to roam free. She enjoys human companionship but doesn't like to be picked up or pet.

I have soil restoration projects, rain water harvesting and composting on site. I'm happy to give garden tours and gardening tips upon request (to anyone who will listen).

Vicki was very accessible for any questions or concerns. She was a friendly host and made sure we had anything we needed. There was coffee, sugar and creamer available for that cup of coffee in the morning to enjoy on the private patio. Everything met our needs just as advertised. Parking was a little tight as her units were full but everyone had a space. We would recommend this location.

We loved the vibe, gardens & laid back atmosphere at Vicki's place. The Hideout was clean, comfortable & cute. The house is conveniently located to all the great places in Pinella county. We enjoyed it very much.

We were able to have a flexible check-in time, which was very helpful. Vicki's boyfriend was there to greet us with a warm welcome. The place is as pictured, it is small, but met our needs just fine. Dunedin has some great places to eat, and we took advantage of Vicki's recommendations. We also used her towels and beach chairs, which were so helpful to have! Loved the garden and all the cool extra touches. It felt homey and relaxed. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Vicki!

Cute little space. There is a garden-esk feel to the whole place which was very cool, it's nice being surrounded by green trees and plants everywhere you look. It's clear that Vicki is a very earth friendly person which is always a plus, and inspiring as well. She definitely knows what she is doing, it's not her first rodeo, which is reassuring while staying there. There was a wet tile in our bathroom that they warned us about as we checked in, so that was a little inconvenient at times but it's nothing we got upset about. When a gentleman was explaining that it was there he made it clear that they never do that sort of thing. Overall it was pleasurable experience that I would definitely recommend. Thank you Vicki!

It was an affordable, comfortable and great experience. The hideout was cute and cozy. Our family with our 1 1/2 yr old loved spending time in the garden and BBQ, everything was close by and have to try Castillos Rest for breakfast located 1.5 miles away! !

This was my wife and my first time using Airbnb. Vicki was very easy to get in touch with when planning our stay. We had an early afternoon tour booked already and she was very flexible accommodating an early check-in to make it work for us. Checking in was a breeze and we were quickly off to our tour and made it in plenty of time. She has a local guide for the area which included some great activities only a local would know about. She also had beach towels and chairs in the closet for us to use and offered bicycles to use on the nearby path the downtown Dunedin. The little touches like that I think really drove home the advantage of using Airbnb over staying in a hotel; Having a local's knowledge of an area was great. My wife really liked the garden areas around the room and they were well taken care of. It was a nice way to feel far away from the city while still being close to everything you wanted to do. Our stay with Vicki will definitely made us look at Airbnb before we check out hotels the next time we travel.

Who me? Awww shucks.... I'm as low key and easy going as it gets. I love nature and I tend all the tropical gardens that you will see at my place. I'm a major a DIYer, pinterester, upcycled artist. I especially like yard art! Dd you know you can make a chaise lounger out of a shopping cart?

I play djembe drum and love a good drum circle. Other interests of mine are permaculture, art, theater, folklore, animals, kayaking. I've got the soul of a gypsy and the heart of a hippie!

My favorite vacation was a road trip out west with my camper and my dog. It lasted three months and I hiked all over Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. What scenery!

I adore culture and diversity! I love learning about different religions, foods, art, dancing, music, customs and folklore! I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. I promise you will always be treated with kindness, dignity and respect on my property.
