This cozy two-bedroom 600 square foot flat, located in a nostalgic non-touristy relaxing neighbourhood in Kowloon, comfortably sleeps up to six. The area is a short walking distance to many popular sites of interest & types of public transportation.

The Space

The price of the flat is the same for 1 to 6 guests.

NEIGHBOURHOOD: few minutes walking distance to Prince Edward MTR Station and just 10 minutes to walk either to Mongkok or Sham Shui Po shopping areas. The area has a lot of local restaurants, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, hair salons, and anything one would need. This is also the most convenient location for transportation; there are buses and mini bus routes located just a two minute walk away to get anywhere in Hong Kong, Kowloon and even the New Territories. There is an Airport bus route E21 just around the corner downstairs from the flat as well.

FACILITIES: The flat is a fully equipped functional home, with absolutely everything a family would need. All you have to do is arrive and you have a complete home.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully loaded with enough dishes to serve well over 10 people. There is a double gas stove for cooking, a microwave oven, two full size refrigerators, pots, pans, wok, and all utensils and accessories. It is fully stocked with herbs, salt, pepper, and condiments for cooking that you are welcome to use. There is a wine cellar for those who enjoy a glass of wine (please ask for wine prices as stock rotates frequently) with a meal or just to relax after a long day outside.

WASHROOM: The shower stall is large and comfortable; easily two people can shower without feeling cramped. There is a Zanussi Italian washer and dryer, so that you can wash your clothes, if you do not want to bring the laundry outside. The hot water is instantaneous, so you never run out of hot water to shower or wash dishes or if you hand wash some clothes.

LIVING ROOM: There is a dining table for up to six persons, with chairs. A 42 inch television with over 35 (email hidden) Blueray DVD player. On the other side is a single sofa and double sofa, both of which fold out into beds in case of many guests. There is an air-conditioner to cool down the area during the hot season.

TWO BEDROOMS: There are two average sized bedrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed and some space to store clothes. Each room has its own air-conditioner.

OTHER: There is a dehumidifier, two heaters, three fans, and ironing board and iron, hair dryers, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, towels, sheets, detergent and many other home appliances and accessories that can be used by guests.

WATER: We provide Watson's Mineral Water for drinking, and there is hot and cold so that you do not need to boil water for coffee or tea, nor to chill it when you want a cool glass of water. The budgeted limited is two large tanks per each week's stay.

Pre Check-In: Please inform us of your flight itinerary well in advance so that we can coordinate your time of check-in smoothly.

Check-In: Please provide a photocopy of your passport.

Guest Access

As we rent out the entire premises, our esteemed guests have exclusive access to all of the facilities offered.

Interaction with Guests

While we do not stay at the premises; me and my colleagues are always around for instant communication. We welcome any questions about the neighbourhood or Hong Kong in general.

The Neighborhood

Prince Edward is located in Kowloon's Mong Kok neighborhood, close to Apliu Street Market, Flower Market, and Yuen Po Bird Market. Nearby points of interest also include Fa Hui Park and Ladies' Market. The property is situated among the "Textiles Street" which is buzzing during the day, while quiet and relaxing during the evening. This is also the best neighbourhood in Hong Kong to find Cantonese Dai Pai Dong street cuisine.

Getting around

Prince Edward MTR Station is located in Northern Mong Kok, Kowloon, surrounding the intersection of Nathan Road and Prince Edward Road West. Prince Edward Station and Mong Kok Station are the two closest stations in Hong Kong. They are only about 400 metres apart and the train takes less than one minute to travel from one station to the other.

  • Another great stay at Dietrich's in a spacious, quiet and comfortable apartment. Clean and it's just as described in the listings. Susan was there again to help facilitate and was as nice as ever. Highly recommended for an excellent value stay with family in Hong Kong.

  • We enjoyed our stay in Hong Kong. Dietrich's flat is just a short walk from the MTR station (prince endward station) which makes it easy for tourists to go around Hong Kong. The building is at the corner of Yu Chau St. and Maple St. His place is very nice, airconditioned and it has everything that we need. We can cook our food using the stove and kitchen utensils. We arrived at night and Osmand welcomed us for our check in. If we have questions Dietrich and as well as Osmand responded quickly (ie questions on where are the appliances that we need, directions on how to go to other places and other problems). I would like to thank Dietrich for his assistance during our stay in his flat.

  • Our host was very responsive to all of our questions, any challenges were resolve to the best of our host's ability. His staff were very helpful and also responded to all of our questions. The directions to the apt. were excellent and it was nice to meet Susan as planned. The apt.'s door is on Maple Street. The neighborhood was great for experiencing Hong Kong. The subway stop was a short walk. The woman's market was a short walk, very close to Nathan Street and one subway stop to Temple (website hidden) (the Night Market). We were travelling with 5 children ranging in age from 9 to 13 and we felt very safe in this neighborhood. We found a nice new restaurant on Portland St. (on your way form the subway to the apt. called Tomato). It was great. The shower was spacious and had lots of hot water. We would highly recommend this apartment for anyone wishing to visit Hong Kong. You can easily get to and from the places that you want to explore and enjoy from this apartment. We also rent accommodations and what we really appreciate (email hidden) and we certainly found this here. It is also nice if guests leave an apt. the same way they found it. Thank you Dietrich for wonderful accommodations and allowing us to experience all that Hong Kong has to offer.

  • Cozy apartment and great location especially if you are travelling with family and kids! Send our thanks to Osmand for always being available from the time we landed until we were on the other side of the stree! Also thank Susan for welcoming us. The apartment has everything we needed. We enjoyed the city and we had a good night rest afterwards. We even had time to cook simple dinner.

Dietrich will send you a VERY HELPFUL GUIDE after booking. Read the guide and get that tourist SIM card, it will go a loong way! Great host, quiet location, clean apartment, and reasonable price.

  • Arriving late in the evening in Hong Kong, Dietrich organised a late check-in for us, which was very helpful. The apartment's location is very central so that all main tourist attractions can be reached easily. The neighbourhood offers lots of possibilities for shopping and dinner. The apartment itself was clean and spacious so that it fits up to four people easily. We really enjoyed our stay!

  • The appartment is as on the pictures and in the description. The location is really good - only 100m from a direct bus to the airport, and probably 500m to Prince Eduard metro station. On the way you can do some shopping.
Dietrich is extremely responsive, and provides maps, how to get there as well as is happy to share additional information. Getting there on the arrival day was also very easy (this was something I was afraid of, as I was using AirBnb for the first time).
The bed in one of the bedroom is of a smaller size and the mattress is quite hard - I would expect it is a Hong Kong standard.
Fast WiFi and water dispenser with hot and cold water provided.
I can really recommend it to anyone - for us - a family of four was really a better choice than a hotel!

  • I and my family got deep sleep at Dietrich's place. It is nice, clean, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our trip in HK and felt like being at home in Dietrich apartment.
I would definitely recommend my friend to stay here in their HK trip. And for myself, here would be 1st choice for our accommodation in HK in our next visit.
