Cozy Uptown Apartment!
Completely private, one-bedroom apartment in uptown, one of New Orleans' best neighborhoods and literally just steps from world famous Magazine St. Everything you need is within walking distance -- coffee shops, grocery stores, casual and fancy restaurants, boutiques and pharmacies. In the very safest part of old New Orleans, Whole Foods is two blocks away, Audubon Park is a 5 minute walk and the Magazine St. bus runs straight downtown every 20 minutes. The St. Charles streetcar is a scenic 8 block walk through our lovely Uptown neighborhood and, during Mardi Gras, 9 parades start their route 5 blocks away.
Our location is so perfect, that we barely use our cars. If you would like to get to the historical french quarter, or downtown, you can catch an Uber for a mere $10-$15. The best part about that is that you can visit any exciting part of town at any time and affordably, without all the work of parking, safety issues, and having to sleep through noise!
The apartment has a private entrance, one large bedroom with a queen sized bed, a large sitting/living room with cable TV/DVD and a twin-size sofa bed, and a full bath. It is a ground floor apartment in a family home and has been recently renovated with new heating and air conditioning. It has a small "Pullman" kitchen with a microwave/convection oven, mini-fridge and a washer and dryer. It is spacious, has ample closet space and is fully stocked with linens and glassware. Utilities are included and maid service is extra.
PLEASE NOTE: We have upgraded the bed to a queen.

Other things to note
I am originally from the Midwest and came here in the late 60s to go to Tulane. I have lived all over town and spent 15 years in the French Quarter, then in Fauberg St. John and have been 25 years here on Nashville Ave. Due to some time spent in the Ivory Coast, my Fench is fairly fluent and I have some Italian. After Katrina, I lost most of my clients and went into the hotel business and managed two hotels in the French Quarter. I love this city and know a bit about it-it's history, attractions, places to eat and drink.
