Where you’ll be

Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States

Set back in the trees, the home has a perfect balance of quiet rest and downtown walking proximity.

Blocks away from 4th and Trade Street culture hubs, including coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, art studios, shopping, walking and biking trails, Aperture Theater, the Stevens Center, HanesBrand Theater, Innovation Quarter, Bailey Park, the Children's Museum (Kaliedium), there is much to explore on your visit.

Winston Salem has a vibrant local food scene. Our favorite places include Camino Bakery, Mission Pizza, Canteen 411, Mary's Gourmet Diner, Krankies Coffee, and Cugino Forno.

The home is close to Business 1-40 and 5 minutes from Wake Forest Medical Center and Forsyth Medical Center, 7 minutes from Wake Forest University Campus and Winston Salem State, 5 minutes from UNCSA.

Grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Publix, Harris Teeter and Food Lion are easily accessed from this home.

It is 10 minutes to Salem Lake, which is lovely for walking and biking. Pilot Mountain is 25 minutes, Hanging Rock State Park is 45 minutes.

Greensboro is 30 minutes away and High Point is 20 minutes away (where High Point Furniture Market is). Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI/GSO) is 20 minutes away.

Our space is bright and clean. The kitchen is newly remodeled and very comfortable. We stock coffee and you are welcomed by a jar of M&M's on the table. The historic charm and freshly redone conveniences make it a warm, inviting space.

People consistently ask about the bed, stating it is one of the best night's sleep they have every had!

We have soap, shampoo and toothbrushes in case you have left something at home.

The bedroom has a queen bed, large closet and empty dresser. We have an iron and hangers for your convenience.

The living room is cozy with a view of the tree canopy and balcony as well as the tv and gathering space. The living room closet is stocked with a queen air mattress, pilows, sheets and blankets with the option of a closed door for a comfortable accommodation for additional guests.

The downstairs apartment shares the parking lot and back entrance. We have not had issues with volume between the upstairs and downstairs but it helps for everyone to mindful of one another.

There is no smoking in the apartment.

Our internet is fast and we are quick to respond if you have any needs during your stay.

During your stay

I’m Allie, the host. I am a mom of 3 and a social worker. My husband, Ross, and I are huge fans of Winston-Salem life. Happy to get you acclimated if desired. We have lived here over 10 years and have fallen in love with the charms of this place. From brilliant special events to the personal and high quality daily food and art experiences, we love participating in the beauty of this community. What excites us most is the confluence of people from all over the world and how we learn from one another. We are so glad you are here too!
