  • Our experience with Gail couldn't have been better. Communication before arrival was excellent - she advised us of the best route, recommended a great local restaurant, even asked our breakfast preferences! The guest suite was wonderful - huge sitting room with a library of books and large flatscreen TV with hundreds of channels, cosy bedroom, and huge bathroom. Everything was in pristine condition. The suite was cheerful and bright, with excellent country views from alll the windows. Breakfast the next morning was hearty, healthful, and way tastier than anything we could have prepared for ourselves. Gail really goes the extra mile to give her guests an excellent travel experience!

  • Gail is a wonderful host -- she was responsive to messages before our stay, she recommended restaurants and farms nearby to enhance our trip, and her home-cooked breakfast was delicious. She and her husband even let us try out their snow shoes and walk around the property, which has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Definitely stay here if you are in the area -- we were doing the Vermont Cheese Trail and had a great experience.

  • Gail and Strat were so wonderful. It was like staying with old friends or family. Their home is well-appointed, clean, quiet and cozy and they could not have been more gracious, generous and accommodating. They loaned us boots and snowshoes to go snowshoeing around their home and it was so beautiful. The friendly and delicious tea-time and breakfast served reminded me of all of the lovely bed and breakfasts I have visited in Ireland. Just lovely people and a lovely spot. The photos do not do it justice, it is nicer than the photos! Thanks!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Gail and her husband while visiting Vermont in hopes of relocating. We had a very busy schedule and the space was perfect to give us a home-base to easily commute all around the state.

They are very friendly and accommodating, communication was clear, and the room and living space were comfortable and separated enough to allow us privacy.

Gail made sure to check in about our schedule and had a wonderful breakfast ready for us each morning. There are also snow shoes to borrow and beautiful scenery for a hike in any season!

We will differently stay there again if we are back in the area and we highly recommend it to others.

  • Wonderful stay! Gail and Strat are generous, easy going, welcoming, knowledgable and helpful in every way. Each morning began with a hearty, homemade breakfast of local ingredients while enjoying the stunning view out to Spruce Mtn. You can walk miles and miles of some of the most scenic countryside Vermont has to offer.. starting right from the front door. I slept well in the private comfy bedroom, sitting room and full bath. This is pure Vermont. The only difficult part of the stay was leaving! Highly recommended.

  • We had a fantastic weekend in Plainfield. Gail and Strat live in a beautiful area with lots of opportunities to go for walks and enjoy the colorful leaves. Their place is warm and they make you feel like home right away. We enjoyed having a wonderful breakfast with them and they shared some local information about where to go. Looking forward to travel to Vermont again and stay with them again.

  • Gail & her husband were so kind. We stayed for a very short night as we were chasing the leaves on our 10 day leaf peeping trip spanning 3 states. If you are in the area, we highly recommend Gail's place. It is very quiet and tranquil. The area we rented consisted of a room with a queen sized bed and a window (which we couldn't open to get some fresh air, but we didn't want to bother them being it was late at night) and a sitting area outside with a tv. We wish we could have stayed longer. The bathroom was quite spacious. Thanks, Gail!

  • This is a 5 star stay! We couldn't have asked for a better first experience with Air BNB. Gail was so kind and even provided a wonderful breakfast! The bed was comfy and the room had more than enough space. Vermont was tremendous and part of it was our fabulous stay with Gail!

  • Just a wonderful visit. My hosts were knowledgeable about the area, were welcoming and generous with their time, their home, provided a wonderful bed, shower, and wholesome locally sourced breakfast. Also can't say enough about the french press coffee in the morning. My last morning I had time for a walk, and got a chance to see a bit of the country around the house. It rained and fog obscured the view, but it must be beautiful.
