The house is located on the top of a hill that looks out into the mountains. It is a peaceful spot. Gail makes a very good breakfast, using mostly local food and ingredients from her garden. She also sat and talked with us at breakfast both days, and we really enjoyed her company. We recommend this host.
Gail couldn't have been more accommodating. Everything was described perfectly on website. Neighhood was beautiful rural countryside.
This was my second time staying with Gail and it was another wonderful experience! She has great hospitality and makes her guests feel welcome and at home. Her delicious breakfasts and pleasant conversation make the experience even more special. She has a beautiful property- cozy in the winter and lovely in the summer. (You can't beat summer in Vermont). It's always a relaxing and restful time staying here.
The best part of my 'getaway' to Vermont was meeting my hosts,
Gail and Strat. Both Gail and Strat were gracious, welcoming, helpful and generous. Gail went out of her way to create a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her amazing garden for me to bring to a friend that I was visiting at a Vermont nursing home. She also had flower arrangements in the living room and bedroom which added to the lovely accommodations, which were cozy, clean, large and private. The location was wonderful. High on the rolling hills of Plainfield, Vt., overlooking farms, meadows and mountains with Gail's flower and vegetable garden to add to the beauty. Gail's breakfasts were scrumptious and Strat's coffee was perfect.
Gail was extremely welcoming and waiting outside for us. The space is very inviting, clean and indeed spacious. It was our first airbnb experience and we will definitely use it again.
The directions were also very helpful.
Before my stay with Gail and Strat, I was completely new to AirBNB, but I was delighted to find Gail and Strat to be such wonderful hosts. I felt a little awkward at first, understanding that I was a stranger in their home, but they quickly put us at ease, with their laidback, relaxed and friendly style. Their home is only about 20 mins from Montpelier, which was the reason for my trip.
The space they provided was clean and cheery, complete with flowers from their garden, (I think). It consisted of a small, walled off bedroom, with an open ceiling, and a large airy living space with a lot of big bright windows. The second bed is the futon in the living room, and it was firm and very comfortable. I also feel it’s worth mentioning that the water pressure in the private shower is fantastic.
Gail served us breakfast each morning, eggs with tomatoes, fruit and herbs from her garden outside, and easily accommodated the gluten-and lactose-free needs of the friend who was traveling with me.
If I ever have a need to be in the area again, I will definitely look them up first!
Relli and I would like to add our names to those who appreciate the space and service offered by Gail and Strat. The place is clean and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, the town and surrounds are delightful and the conversation entertaining.
