Interaction with Guests
We can have as much or as little interaction as desired. I am a Texas native and have been in Austin for years (UT Grad - Go Horns!). I know all the great spots for outdoor activities, dining and night life from frou frou locales in the north, to east-side weird to the downtown party scene.
I don't live in a gated community and my front yard is not pristine. This is corky Austin ya'll! I live in a nice, diverse, East Austin neighborhood where you will see people outside walking dogs and sitting around a BBQ pit. Or, you might get a waive from a stranger driving by for no good reason other than to say "hi". The houses are 70's style, spacious, and well-kept almost like the burbs. However, we "keep it real" and have our own community nature habitat in one of my neighbor's front yard. There is also a small greenbelt that runs through our hood. It is a piece of vintage Austin ostentatious waiting for you.
My house is in walking distance to several bus stops including a late night option that runs till 3AM. I am 3 minutes by car to the Austin Metro train and Greyhound bus stations. I also have a car that I lease on relay rides and can arrange a pickup from the Austin Bergstrom Airport, which is approximately 25 mins from my house. For one person, the super shuttle is inexpensive, can be booked easily online or from you smartphone and typically my house is one of the first drop offs. Austin does not have public transportation like a large city, but there are options to get around if you have a little extra time. A car is always the most convenient option.
No outside guest without prior permission. There is an overnight guest fee (see additional person). No smoking in the house. Pets are allowed provided they are friendly house trained and can get along with my small friendly dog. There is an extra fee for pets. I ask that you clean up after yourself in all common areas.
The house itself is very nice and cosy, equipped with everything you may need., bed is so good to sleep I even couldn't wake up, bathroom and kitchen are clean, with some taste surprises from Chalu.
The location is close to bus stops and down town .
The host, Chalu gave me all necessary information about Austin, she is friendly and super helpful and supportive.
It was my pleasure to stay here .
Chalu is a very friendly and welcoming host. The house is an easy drive from the airport. Quiet neighborhood. The rooms are a great deal for the price - no frills but comfortable and clean.
This was was my first go around with AirBnb. Of course like anyone, I was nervous and anxious and all those similar adjectives when staying with someone I never met. Right from the beginning Chalu put all those reservations to rest.
Chalu was incredibly down to earth, informative, and the utmost professional from the get. She made me feel very comfortable and right from the beginning set me up with one her VERY comfortable rooms, precise information on where to go and what to do the only way a true austinite can.
The house and the neighborhood is on point; Very clean, very safe feeling, and nothing is too far away. Although it was my first time using AirBnb, you definitely know your dealing with no amateur.
If you need a room in Austin, Chalu is where to go. She is a true professional with a wonderful home, great amenities and a lovely personality. She will be my first, last and only Airbnb experience in Austin, Texas.
I had a great time in Austin. The location was amazimg. It was close to everything I wanted to visit. Chalu has a lovely home with modern contemporary designs. The living room is beautiful. My experience might be different from the others that have stayed here. Chalu was out of town and not present during my stay. Although she wasn't physically there, she was still made sure to answer any questions I would have. She left a very detailed letter with specific instructions, emergency contacts, and local hot spots. Every door was labeled, so it was clear which room was mine. She took care of everything even though she wasn't around. Chalu was a great host without being there, I can only imagine how much better it would have been if she was. I highly recommend staying here.
Chalu and the room are both great. Very clean and comfortable house. It's a great place for laid back professional types to land while visiting Austin.
Chalu was very friendly and easy to work with. No worries. It was a good, Airbnb, first experience for me.
The house is great, cosy and clean. The neighborhood is quiet, with markets and groceries near. It is also close to downtown by car or bus.
Chalu is a fantastic host, always willing to help and very accessible.
If you're going to Austin I totally recommend this house!
