Our apartment in the upper Castro neighborhood is charming, fully furnished, and features a high-end open kitchen, luxurious bath, and sunny deck. It is the entire floor of a 1906 Victorian house, with a beautifully landscaped garden. Quiet and safe neighborhood, ideal for vacation, visiting friends/family, or business travel.

Centrally located in the Castro neighborhood, with easy access to the rest of the city and Bay Area:
--Five blocks to to Castro Muni Metro station (which is three stops from BART commuter train and connects to both airports)
--Walk to Historic F Street Car line, which runs to downtown San Francisco/Union Square/Embarcadero/museums/Wharf
--Walking distance to Castro/Duboce Triangle restaurants/cafes/bars/shops and the Castro Theater
--Short walk to post office, dry cleaner, grocery store, Corona Heights Park.
--20 minute drive or N Judah Metro line to Ocean Beach
--30 minute T Metro line ride to Ballpark
--10 minute drive to Golden Gate Park, Noe Valley, Mission
--30 minutes to Marin, Berkeley, Palo Alto

--Check-in after 4pm, checkout by 11am.
--Noise travels easily in old Victorians, so quiet hours (ie no loud music) after 10pm.
--The back deck faces our neighbor's bedroom; please keep late evening conversations inside, door closed. Be sure to turn the back deck lights off at night.
--Enjoy the house, but no parties please. Events must be pre-approved, and a separate event rate may apply.
--Please be respectful that this is our home and be thoughtful of the neighbors. No more than 2-3 guests should visit the house without prior approval. While we're happy to have people make use of the kitchen and make dinner for their friends and family, there is no entertaining allowed after 10pm.
--The apartment upstairs has a (friendly) dog and cat that you might see in the yard, FYI. Just keep the deck gate closed to keep them off your deck.
--Smoking in the backyard only. No smoking on the front steps or back deck.
LeighAnna is former editorial director at Pixar/Disney Publishing and currently creative operations director at Airbnb--and thanks to those jobs, a frequent and global traveler. Co-owner Brett is a graphic designer and partner in the studio MacFadden & Thorpe. He previously worked with Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia at Chronicle Books. They have a dog Maybelle, who does not work. They enjoy travel, good food, nice furniture, and easy living.
