  • My mother and I enjoyed a blissful two days at Twin Palms! I chose this location for the expansive feeling the accommodation offers, being upstairs with a private deck and lovely view. My mother was in heaven relaxing on the deck with a good book while I cruised the bikeways and beaches of Pleasure Point on both foot and bike. Tara and her husband are very gracious hosts with superb information to share of the surrounding area. Twin Palms was my first airbnb experience and I would use this site again. I most definitely look forward to my next opportunity to get-a-way and visit Twin Palms again in the near future! Thanks Tara and Peter!

  • Tara was a wonderful hostess. She thought of all the small details to make our stay comfortable. Perfect location with a two minute walk to the beach and market. We found a great restaurant close by called the Crow's Nest, and went on to enjoy the town of Santa Cruz, the Henry Cowell Redwood State Park and Nisene State Park. Fun walks through the redwoods just minutes away from the main part of town. Another fun and interesting morning consisted of partaking in "The Mystery Spot" which was well worth the $. Eleven bucks covered -parking and the tour.....Ask for Mo, he was great. We would recommend Twin Palms as a perfect way to enjoy Pleasure Point and all of it's surroundings.

Thanks, Carol for taking the time to give me this review. Also thanks for the review of the Mystery Spot, I will add that to my guidebook and let other guests know about it.

  • We had a great getaway at Twin Palms. The neighborhood was perfect for walking (or running) to the beach and the room was lovely and comfortable for reading and lounging. We felt very comfortable and loved the little touches like fruit and snacks in the room replenished each day.

  • Thank you Tara for the pleasant stay. This was our first air b n b. what a great idea. Tara was a great host. Clean house just a couple of blocks from the beach. The unit it was private, modern, and clean. With French doors that opens up to a lovely deck with table and chairs, flowers, salt air, and a glimpse of ocean in the horizon. Private bathroom with a rain shower. Comfortable bed, fresh clean linens. Fresh fruit and biscotti's as well as coffee. I would stay again. Was very comfortable and better than a hotel. Thank you Tara

  • We had such an incredible experience staying at the Twin Palms B&B! Tara was very welcoming and the upstairs suite was immaculate. My husband and I both loved the snacks that Tara left for us in the room.
Our dog, Annie, loved the outdoor patio and playing with Tara's dog, Lily. Tara's place is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and is within walking distance to excellent cafes and restaurants. We're telling all our friends and family about the Twin Palms B&B!

  • Twin Palms has been my favorite airbnb experience by far! Tara, her home and her family were so welcoming and the suite is very private, gorgeously designed, comfortable and spacious. Having grown up in the area, I knew the location couldn't be beat when I booked - but the proximity to world class surf and east cliff was even better than expected.
I'm so happy I discovered what I now can consider my Cali home away from home. Thank you, thank you, Tara! I will see you again!!

  • Tara's place was very nice! It is a bit more pricey than some of the other similar setups (especially with the extra room tax added on after arrival) but she has put some thought and effort into making it worth it. The room itself is all new and really beautiful, with great sunlight, and a charming little private second-floor patio. The mattress is really comfortable, and the bedding felt luxurious. She provided pastries and yogurt and granola, all of which were delicious. The bathroom is also very new and beautiful, with a removable shower head as well as a rain shower head. Tara was a helpful and curteous host who gave us our privacy but was available when we needed her. And the location can't be beat! we would definitely recommend it.

  • Perfect beach house! Tara, Peter and Lily made us feel so welcomed. The room and bath are way more amazing in real life. Super puppy loved to sun in the porch and walk to the miles of beach!

  • Tara's home was a great location, just blocks from the ocean and an ideal surf spot. There were competitions even happening the weekend we were there. The room was bright spacious and clean. I know she is pet friendly and has her own dog Lily, and even still I didn't find any pet hair! The deck off the bedroom in the photos is beautifully landscaped and perfect to enjoy the delicious breakfast provided. We even had time to make use of the bikes she has, which was perfect for exploring the bike paths and the boardwalk. Parking was also easy.

I love living in the Pleasure Point neighborhood of Santa Cruz; people are friendly, and walk in the neighborhood. My dogs go to the beach every day to explore and play with other people with their dogs, kids building sand castles, and watch the many surfers taking advantage of the breaks. I teach yoga, practice myself, and work privately with individuals, encouraging them to slow down, breathe, and occupy our bodies My son, Peter, lives in the house; he is a chef at a well know Hotel/Restaurant in Santa Cruz.. I'm happy to help you find your way around town and visit a bit, and also like my space so am happy to give you yours. We don't like surprises (don't bring guests we haven't been told about, or ?)...We like clear communication.
