This rustic cottage is perfect for a backpacking couple, friends or young family looking for budget accommodation in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

The space
It has a queen bed, loft area, options for a child in the main area, cozy sitting & dining area, kitchen, en-suite bathroom, desk, TV, DVD, CD player & BBQ.

Spend your days exploring the local area, relax on the porch with a glass of local wine and in the summer months, finish off with a dip in the pool (located near the main home).

The Cottage is located in Crafers West which gives you the best of both worlds – a quiet country setting surrounded by native Australian animals yet only 10 minutes by car to the bottom of the freeway and less than 20 minutes to the CBD.

Having your own vehicle will make it easier to get around but there is a major bus interchange in Crafers with multiple services running to the city or further into the hills allowing you to visit historic towns, tourist attractions and the Adelaide Hills wine region. It’s also great news if you are travelling from Melbourne by bus as Crafers is a scheduled stop.

Guest access
We live on 10 acres with lovely city and ocean views. Our property is a working hobby farm and we give guests access across all areas as we have a winter creek and little spots that are great to just sit and relax amongst the resident koalas. Our only major rules are to shut any gates used to access another area and if a guest would like to use a campfire spot they let us know and make sure it is completely extinguished when finished.

Other things to note
FIRE DANGER SEASON POLICY
Usually November 1 - April 30 but can be extended
The Cottage has a bushfire management plan that will require guests to leave with us on extreme and catastrophic days. During the summer of 2018-2019 we only had 1 catastrophic and 3 extreme days during the season. If either of these ratings are forecast on your day of check in or during your stay we will notify you shortly after the 4pm announcement the day before and provide you with a full refund for the days that you need to vacate. If you have any questions about this policy please feel free to contact us.
