Lerici is situated in the province of La Spezia and overlooking the bay of the same name. For tourists who arrive there is ample parking fee because the access is allowed only to residents Lerici equipped with a pass, but there is a convenient shuttle bus service to downtown. As you descend to the village you can enjoy a wonderful view. Behind us are the lush, green hills of olive groves and in front of the eye can wander to the Gulf of Spezia, to see in front of the islands of Palmaria and Tino and the promontory of Portovenere. In the evening you can enjoy a spectacular sunset over the sea! The town itself is typically Ligurian narrow alleys, the so-called "alleyways" that separate the houses and climb up the hills. The houses are red and yellow and has been recently rearranged the square that hosts summer concerts and shows. Along the coast there are many shops, pubs, restaurants and pubs overlooking the communal garden beside the sea. In Lerici there is a marina that, in addition to host craft is docked to the ferries leave for Portovenere, La Spezia, Cinque Terre and Portofino. Who wants to see other beautiful places may well take it easy, take a trip and return in the evening. Typical restaurant nearby housing.
We stayed in Lerici because of its close proximity to Cinque Terre, Porto Venere and Marina di Carrara, and not for the beautiful gem we discovered Lerici to be.
If you are fortunate and can match calendar days, consider booking Federico's place.
It is complete with everything you'll need and then some...
The place is secure, clean and safe. We were met at the Fermata (bus stop) by Federico's mother, a lovely and lively woman who walked us to the location and even insisted on carrying one of our bags up!
Check-in was a tour of the unit and how to operate appliances, windows, amenities, printed wifi info and keys to door and entry.
Federico is lightning quick on email responses as well as any in unit questions or issues, which was one big asset.
Finally, the bus stop is nearby, bakery, eateries, even a Conad grocery store tucked into precious space!
For me, La Perla and Johnnies place for spritzers, coffee or a quick breakfast out, good food at En Tragià and Folie, gelato, across the street from the plaza bus stop can't be beat. Enjoy!
Not very cosy - but 100 % okay. Parking and good help.
We had a lovely time in Lerici and that was also thanks to the place we stayed, the flat was cosy, in a quite area but very convenient for the supermarket and via Mazzini where restaurants and shops are located. We didn't meet in person the owner but he was really attentive on giving us directions on how to get to the flat, on our arrival we meet instead the mother of the owner , she was very welcoming and willing to give tips and help if we need it.
Wonderful city. Good apartment. Excellent location. Great people. Really - don't hesitate with this place. Federico and his family provided so much more service than you could expect - from practicalities about the apartment to ongoing tips about restaurants and the city.
There are about 8-7 truly excellent beaches in the city, several Michelin rated restaurants meters from the apartment and really, really few tourists compared to Cinque Terre - even though Lerici has many of the same qualities as the five villages.
Чистая и уютная квартира со всем не обходимым для проживания!!!! Расположена на тихой центральной улице, в 5 минутах от пощади с множеством ресторанов .
Спасибо за замечательный отдых!!!!!!
Lerici is a great base for exploring the sadly overcrowded Cinqueterre. The apartment is central and calm and has a parking option (which is key).We never met Federico but we communicated perfectly with him and logistics worked 100%. His parents (who actually check you in and out) are a charm, and ready to go out of their way to make you enjoy your stay.
We found this apartment perfect for our needs. It was large enough and the balcony was great to appreciate the surroundings. The supermarket was close by and it was a short walk to the water and the centre of Lerici.
It was convenient for catching the bus to the Cinque Terre and also the bus to La Spezia stopped outside the supermarket so it was also convenient.
We didn't meet Federico but his brother let us into the apartment and his mother was very helpful when we couldn't figure out how to use the washing machine.
Would totally recommend this apartment and would stay again if ever lucky enough to holiday in Lerici.
Lerici was a small gem and an unforgettable experience that me and my girlfriend stumbled upon. The hosts were unbelievable kind, from letting giving us a ride to the train station to letting us cruise around on their vintage Vespa. This location is perfect. 2 minutes from the water. A quite, simple, vacation away from the other touristic experiences that Europe has to offer. The apartment itself is spacious, with perfect wifi connection, and a supermarket across the street. Very safe community and a very loving family. Fair warning- the bed is two twin beds pushed together. Not perfect. But it works. We love this place so so much and a piece of me will always stay in Lerici. Also, if you want the BEST pizza of your life, walk down the street and go to: La Mano Di Fatima. I ate there 4 times on my few day trip. And I consider myself a pizza connoisseur.
Thanks so much for the great stay. We will be back.
Federico's mother greeted us and showed us around the place. It was a cute little apartment in Lerici very close to the center! Just a couple minutes walk if that. Everything was clean and the experience was easy and great. Lerici is beautiful and local...would definitely recommend.
