Private living room and adjoining bedroom in lovely Victorian home. Quiet street, well-located in Lower Pacific Heights. Free parking. Restaurants, shopping, and public transit nearby. Easy access to tourist attractions.
Our sunny, spacious flat is the second floor of a beautiful building on Lyon Street, one half block from California Street. Your private bedroom and separate living room are at the rear of the flat, overlooking a large backyard.
The bedroom has a new, comfortable queen bed, bedside table, lamps, chair, and chest of drawers. There is a closet stocked with bedding, towels, and wash cloths, as well as hangers, an iron, and an ironing board.
The living room has a queen-size, down-filled sleeper sofa, comfortable lounge chairs and cable TV for relaxing.
Both rooms are wifi accessible.
The flat has one and a half baths. The full bath is close to your rooms, while the half bath is located more to the front of the flat, where my husband and I reside with our daughter (when she is home from college.)
The full bath is shared. We will use it primarily for bathing, but otherwise use the half-bath, which is closer to our bedrooms.
You will have access to and use of our kitchen. It is fully equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, silverware, and pots and pans.
There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer available for your use.
Our lovely home was built in 1902, and still has its original (refinished) fir flooring, 10-foot ceilings, and some intricate built-in cabinetry typical of the period. The kitchen has been "updated" with custom cherry cabinets and tile counters, but retains its original Victorian charm.
We have one pet, an adorable eight year old Tibetan Terrier, friendly but not bothersome. Tibitan Terriers, like Poodles, are easy going and recommended for people who love dogs but have allergies (such as our daughter, who is allergic to cats and dogs).
We are a smoke free house.
Our lovely Victorian is in one of the most desirable areas of San Francisco, along the edge of Pacific Heights and less than two blocks from Presidio Heights. Laurel Heights and historic Fillmore Street, in the Western Addition, are nearby.
These neighborhoods are home to some of San Francisco's best shopping, eating, and drinking establishments.
Fillmore Street has dozens of restaurants, clothing and furniture stores. And, of course, the legendary jazz district and the famed Fillmore Auditorium music venue, plus the Sundance Cinema movie complex.
A smaller, neighborhood movie theater is just two blocks from the flat, on Sacramento Street. There is an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants along Sacramento Street.
Popular restaurants just a short stroll from our home include Eliza's (Chinese), Bistro SF Grill (gourmet burgers), Curbside Cafe (French Bistro), Sift (dessert cafe) and Osteria (Northern Italian). Ella's, one of the city's best known places for brunch, is just around the corner.
The neighborhood is centrally located with regard to many of San Francisco's major tourist attractions--such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Presidio, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Marina Green, and Golden Gate Park (where you'll find the California Academy of Sciences, Steinhart Aquarium, the DeYoung Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Conservatory of Flowers, and more).
Union Square, the Financial District, Ferry Building, and Fisherman's Wharf are readily available by public transportation.
A number of transit routes are nearby.
The #1 California runs 24/7 to the Financial District and the Ferry Building.
#38 Geary runs 24/7 to within a block of Union Square and, in the opposite direction, all the way out to Ocean Beach.
#24 Divisadero will take you (Northbound) to the Marina Green or (Southbound) to the Castro and MIssion districts. It runs 24/7.
Finally, the #43 Masonic from the Presidio will take you to the Haight Ashbury neighborhood and within a few block of Golden Gate Park.
We recommend downloading the SF Muni public transportation app, Next Bus, for the best routes and most accurate arrival and departure times.
Keep in mind that if you choose to drive, parking is difficult in most of San Francisco. However, parking is available on the premises.
Our home is a quiet and comfortable place to unwind after a day of exploring the sites, tastes and ambiance of San Francisco.
Enjoy your stay!

We look forward to making our home a warm and inviting place for our guests! Please let us know if you have any questions or special requests.
Renée and Ron are great hosts. We had a fun time chatting but didn't lack privacy. They were both very helpfull and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay in their beautiful victorian apartment. The location is really great. Renée and Ron let us use their garage, so we took the bus and got around the city easily this way. We will recommend to anyone.
We had fantastic 10 days in Renee and Jordans home. We felt very wellcome every time we came 'home' and we got good tips about the neighborhood. A very nice neighborhood with walking distance to Fillmore street with lots of nice cafees and high-end shopping. Driving distance to beach, goldengate etc. We also went for nice runs in the neighborhood and walked to union square. I can only recommend this place and the hosts. Thank you Ron and Renee for a very pleasant stay.
My wife, son, and I visited San Francisco to get my son settled in before his school started. We arrived late in the evening on the first day of our stay. Renee, Ron, and Quincy their dog were up waiting to greet us. My wife had not eaten since lunch and so Renee made her a nice bowl of soup.
Our hosts were sweet and gracious, they could not have been better. Ron makes a super cup of coffee in the morning - we had our best conversations in the kitchen over a cup. The accommodations were just as described and we were very pleased with everything. The neighborhood is safe and convenient, we walked around at night without any worries.
I'm giving a five-star rating without reservation because our stay really was perfect.
It was so difficult to leave Renee and Ron's beautiful home in San Francisco and it would have been so easy to move in permanently! This lovely Victorian townhouse is in such a perfect area of the city--away from all the hustle of the downtown yet right in the heart of the city. But best of all is Renee and Ron who are such wonderful hosts and so much fun to be with. We'll be back.
Wonderful house and hosts, everything was perfect. Thanks Renee and Ron, I'd stay there again if I have the chance to come back to amazing San Francisco.
Great location. Very safe neighborhood. Large bedroom and living room with comfortable bed. Friendly, gracious hosts. They were good sports staying up late to greet us. They provided us with a lot of information about the area and were very attentive to anything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped.
Hi, I'm Renee, my husband Ron and I have been residents of this glorious city for over 25 years. We are both self-employed professionals who work from home in the marketing and broadcast media fields. We have one child, a daughter who is attending college in the East, but visits frequently and a friendly 8 year old Tibetan Terrier.
We are all avid San Franciscans who are happy to share tips about the city that we love. We are friendly, and easy going folks who enjoy meeting travelers from all backgrounds & walks of life. We aim to treat people with the same respect and hospitality that we hope to receive. We enjoy making our home a place of welcome for all our friends and especially friends we haven't met yet...we hope we can welcome you here soon.
