Bright cheery well appointed craftsman styled cottage with river views, walking distance, less than a mile to the historic district via the beautiful Browns Creek Trail. Close to the action and far enough away. Great space for relaxing inside or outside in the beautiful backyard with family and friends!

Great Pickleball community, many golf courses, bicycling & hiking trails near by!

The space
The 1880's cottage has been lovingly restored with craftsmen charm and modern amenities.

Main floor has kitchen, dining area, greatroom, 3/4 bath and screen porch.

The upper level has full bath. The east bedroom has a queen bed and walk in closet. Front pine bedroom has a queen bed, two twin beds and a walk in closet. The third bedroom has a double bed, desk swivel reading chair at the top of the steps with no door as shown in photos.(view photos)

Sometimes in the summer & fall, thanks to Mother Nature you may encounter Misquotes, Boxelder bugs, other random bugs or bees on occasion in the OUTDOOR AREAS.

We do supply fire wood for use in the fire circle, it can be found on the side of the white barn garage.

We are so happy to share our cottage with you and strive to create the perfect stay for our guests!

Entire first & second stories of home and yard. Lower level garage is not included with your stay.

Other things to note
We are a licensed vacation rental in the city of Stillwater, we are required to only allow two vehicles parked on the property. You may park in the front brick driveway only to unload & load luggage and groceries, then we invite you to park your vehicles in the back driveway for your stay.
No parties of any kind, no loud voices or loud music. no smoking allowed in the house, front and back porches, yards or streets surrounding the property. Outdoor areas can be enjoyed until 10:00pm per City of Stillwater.

Close to Browns Creek trail system, serveral golf courses, wineries and pickleball courts!

We are spur of the moment travelers and run a charming vacation home in historic Stillwater, MN called Cottage in the Alley. We have been married for over 41 years, love to travel, garden, renovate old homes, hang out on the St Croix river with friends & family . We have two married children, 4 delightful baby grands and our sweet Schnauzer Murph, all who own our hearts! We like to fly by the seat of our pants with a plan in our back pocket!
