The apartment was attractive and well furnished. Air conditioning made it comfortable days and nights. The large dining table made for nice family meals. The neighborhood was incredible! Less than 10 min walk to subway, able to be in Manhattan in less than 1/2 hour. Many types of cuisine and groceries nearby. Proximity to freeway not a noise issue
We spent 5-very comfortable nights at the House on Henry. Not only Annette keeps the apartment neat and tidy, she puts her personal - and artistic - touch in every room. There are lots of fresh linens and blankets to keep us comfortable during our stay. The bathroom was done up like a resort. The kitchen and dining room give us great space to do our activities. The place looks a lot more beautiful than the pictures. And Carroll Gardens neighborhood is, of course, one of the nicest neighborhoods in NYC!
The House on Henry was absolutely perfect! It was very spacious and the decor was to die for. I met with Annette upon arrival and after she sent me to her coffee shop for a complimentary latte, I was able to check in early. I did not see her after I checked in, but she was available to me by phone/text when I had questions and she answered promptly. The property itself is very cozy and quiet. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe. The train is just a few blocks away. I would definitely recommend staying here and I would love to stay again when I am back in the city.
We stayed 6 days with our friends (4 People ) in Annette's house. We had very good time. House was clean and we found every thing we needed. We cooked at home. Kitchen was very nice. There are markets close to house and they open very early so we bought food daily for breakfast and for dinner. Also there is a coffee shop on the corner of the house. Metro station is 10 minutes walk from house and very easy to reach JFK Airport, Manhattan and other places in New York. Also in house there were several guide books about New York so we could check for some information. Only problem was the traffic noise in the mornings but we are used to traffic noise from Istanbul so it wasn't a big problem for us also there were earplugs near the beds. Annette returned our messages quickly and she was very helpful. We are very happy about our stay in Annettes House. Brooklyn is a very nice place to stay in New York. We would like to stay Annette's house again in the future.
recomendo a todos fui muito bem tratado, em todos os aspectos minha estadia foi nota 10....
What a lovely place. Not to mention a lovely neighborhood. This fit my girlfriend and I's needs perfectly. The beds were very comfortable and so was the couch! We loved the way the place was decorated and the location was perfect. I really fell in love with the neighborhood while I was here. Just two short blocks away are great bars, restaurants, and stores. My favorite spots were Black and Gold Records, which was a coffee shop/vinyl store. Also Frankie's 457(italian) and MiniBar. There is also a coffeeshop/bike shop literally next door to the apartment. It looks like it just opened recently but had great coffee and iced tea. Made it easy to pop down before your shower to grab a quick coffee. The subway is just few easy blocks north of the place. And takes you straight into Manhattan or Times Square(which I try to avoid like the plague). Also there are plenty of Ubers ready to pick you up in a couple minutes in this area. Overall this place was amazing and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
The place was great. Very clean and extremely well decorated with a great kitchen. Annette was quite flexible and accommodating letting me host a family dinner during my stay, and with a few family members staying over at different times.
Location is perfect too; the Carrol Gardens/Cobble Hill area is one of my favorites in NY, and was excited to finally get to "live" there, for at least a short period of time.

About the Host, Annette
When I'm not planning an event or decorating, I love to sit back, relax and take life in.
My home is my sanctuary, and I try to make it feel that way for others. Not pretentious or stuffy, just comfortable and welcoming - so if you're planning a trip to Brooklyn and need a place to stay that will feel like a home away from home, shoot me an e-mail.
Coming Next Spring -- I will have a beautiful master suite available for rent - with small seating area, queen size bed, private dual sink master bath with tub and a lovely private deck for you to sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or some star gazing at night!
