Interaction with Guests
The flat is separate to the big house but I'm sure you'll see some of us around and about!
The neighbourhood is quiet, and full of families. Less than two minutes walk away is a Sainsbury's local and several small shops and coffee places. Immediately next door is St Nicholas Park, the biggest park in Warwick with a river, children's play area, leisure centre, fishing ponds, open field area and small wooded areas. In the summer a small amusement park, with child-friendly rides and games, is open all day and there are boat and horse rides down by the river.
Warwick Castle, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Europe, is just up the road in Warwick Old Town centre, along with several full streets of Tudor buildings.
There is an efficient bus system around Warwick, and between it's neighbouring towns and villages. There is also a train station 7 minutes walk away with regular trains to London, Birmingham, and most of the stations in between including Leamington Spa (also an easy 20 minutes walk away) and Stratford upon Avon.
Other Things to Note
For more than two guests we charge £15 pp per night
If we accept a booking for two single guests an additional £15 will be charged for use of the second double bed.
The flat is not suitable for young children as there is a flight of steep stairs leading up to the flat.
Awesome location, right next to the park and an easy 15 minutes walk to the castle.
Facilities are excellent, highly recommended. Would definitely stay again next time we are up that way.
Great position for everything in Warwick. Easy to find, nice welcome. Comfortable apartment, comfortable bed, all the right things to make a comfy stay. Washing machine, too. Although the weather was pretty atrocious, there was enough space to keep dry and comfortable when it was too wet to venture out. The odd occasion the sun did shine, we sat and enjoyed a bottle of wine on the lovely deck. Recommended!
Our family of three (2 adults and a 2 year old) had a lovely time staying in David's flat. It was well equipped, in a nice quiet part of Warwick. Next to the lovely St Nicholas' Park and a short walk into the town centre (10 mins). We would definitely stay again.
David is a wonderful host. He invited my little girls to play in his vast back garden (massive bonus) and was very relaxed about us leaving at a later time the next day so that we could enjoy a full day at Warwick castle.
The flat is cosy and great to have the double sofa bed in the lounge room too.
The location is superb, being right next to a beautiful park and a short walk from the museum, and town and castle being close by.
I loved the decor of David's place - clearly well travelled!
David was a very welcoming host, giving us a quick tour of the flat and helping us with any queries.
We only stayed one night for a wedding that was in a nearby village but the flat would make an excellent base for exploring Warwick and the surrounding area.
The flat was very comfortable and had everything you could need (including a fantastic collection of board games).
David was very friendly and the location was great. The park next door is massive and beautiful.
We arrived early to a smiley welcome and basket of breakfast goodies. The flat was well presented with wonderful world textiles (my particular interest). The kitchen was great and we were able to prepare dinner easily, a mountain of pasta in preparation for the Stratford half marathon the next day. The flat is a short walk from Warwick which is very lovely and short drive to Stratford. We really enjoyed the wide selection of board games on offer too!!
