*The bathroom is fully stocked with the things you need, and also things you may have forgotten.

We live downstairs so unless we are traveling, you will likely hear us—and we are in the back yard a lot—so consider that before booking. We love to socialize and meet new people, but we respect that not everyone does.

Other things to note
PETS: We LOVE all the pets and that's why we welcome them, but the cleaning company charges for allergy cleaning, that's why there is a charge for that (and technically I am allergic).

RESPONDING: I'd like to note that I understand Airbnb highly promotes responding within the hour - sometimes I will be able to do that, sometimes I will not --I will definitely try my very best to navigate your needs thoroughly, but as a single parent of 2 littles, I really try to be present and mostly disconnected when I'm hanging with them, so if that will be an issue for you, this is probably not the home for you.

Having grown up in the Upper Peninsula, then settled in Chicago - I have found an amazing happy mix in Grand Rapids. I teach English at a university nearby during the school year, and run my sewing studio (and teach TEFL certifications online) in the summers. I’ve lived and learned all over the world - some of my favorite places have been Vietnam, South Korea, and Spain - But the older I get, the more I'm falling in love with traveling/camping right here in Pure Michigan. I'm also hoping to increasingly do trips to many national parks in the US! That said, I have found the most love and contentment in my new house with my 6 and 1.5 year old sons - they keep me on my toes and very sleepy, BUT smiling! I hope Airbnb Hosting helps me bring cultural diversity, and hospitality (human!) values to the forefront for them.
