Small private room ideal for 1-2 travelers in beautiful designer loft in Greenpoint. The room is simple--just a bed, shelves and clothes rack--clean and private.
Great Greenpoint neighborhood! Safe, calm, friendly, great restaurants and boutiques and views of Manhattan.
Loft has lots of luxurious amenities--modern kitchen, full bath with clawfoot tub, washer dryer, wireless, huge common area, huge dining table.
Bed is a comfortable bed for 1 or 2 people.
Pets--There is currently a toy poodle living here now and also a Mexican Black King Snake--a very harmless, non venomous pet snake who stays in his tank. Hopefully you will like to meet them!
If you inquire, please write and tell us a little bit about yourself and what your plans are while you are in New York.
If you do not see your exact dates available, please inquire! I have several very similar rooms and might be able to help you find a great place.
Also, please note check in and check out times. I prefer to keep all check ins between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. If you plan to arrive before or after this time, be sure to discuss this with me before making the reservation. Check out must be by noon of the day of departure, though usually it is no problem to arrange to store bags outside the room for a few hours.
Since I have been asked before: I am most definitely LGBTQ friendly!

I really liked the neighborhood, was an enjoyable stay
Staying in Aryn's place was a great experience. The loft was nice, all clean as the room and common parts. Aryn was very helpfull as we could text her or have a discussion for any question or a tip. Greenpoint is also a nice area full of groceries, second hand stores and the riverside walk is awesome to get a view on Manhattan skyline ! Anyway, highly recommanded !
This place is a gem in Greenpoint! Absolutely great location as you're in one of the most relaxed neighborhoods of the city and still just minutes away from hip Williamsburg and the hustle and bustle of downtown Manhattan.
The loft has been transformed into a beautiful designer space with the great industrial chique you'd expect.
Aryn is a very friendly, helpful and above all very relaxed host, who is most welcome anytime she is in Berlin! :-)
The location is the best in town as far as I'm concerned - buzzing neighbourhood and although I only briefly had contact with Aryn (as she was going on holiday herself) she was very welcoming and was on hand if I needed any local info etc.
Thanks for the cozy, private, and convenient two-night stay! It was fun to check out a new part of Greenpoint, and to stay in a converted loft space for the first time.
Both, this apartment and Greenpoint echo for me what a true NYC experience should be like. Everything around it is so genuine, not yet touched by heavy renewals, even though I am not a Greenpoint specialist, one can guess it didn't change as much as Williamsburgh did for example. You can find all the traditional polish spots around and GREAT bars. The apartment itself is a huge loft (it could very well be a scenario for a Brooklyn based movie) and is located in what was(it seems to me) a factory(?). Aryn and Lloyd were great hosts, super chill. Just pay attention to the simple house rules and you will have a great place to stay.
Aryn was a very friendly host to me and my wife on our trip to NYC/Brooklyn. She waited patiently for us as we made our way to the airport with all the back up from the snow storm and greeted us warmly and showed us around her huge spacious apartment! It was very warm and so huge and beautiful. My wife really loved it. After settling down into our room we enjoyed our stay with Aryn very much. We were so busy and always on the go we didn't see much of her but we had a nice chat the first night to get to know her a bit.
If your looking for a very lovely spacious loft apartment then Aryn's place is the place you are looking for!
If you are looking for a warm bed and a great neighborhood, this is a good spot for you. However, if you are looking for an accommodating endearing host, this might not be the spot.
The loft was spacious and we had no problems getting in and out of the house.
Also, make sure that you are comfortable with dogs, as he will bark/whimper while he is in the cage at night or during the day.
Be sure to ask Aryn if she will be hosting any Airbnb or other guests during your stay for your knowledge.
Megan and Ben seemed very happy here and I did spend quite a bit of time talking with them. They never communicated any problem to me during their stay. I strongly encourage guests to notify me if they are having an issue while they are here so we can try to correct it. My approach to hosting is to give my guests lots of space. Most people are here to travel and spend time together, so I try to remain friendly and approachable but leave it up to guests to reach out if they want to talk or spend more time. If that is what you are looking for, then I am definitely the host for you. I tend to be quite busy being a professional creative in NY so there may be times when I won't be around as much or won't have time to talk, but I will make sure that guests are provided everything in the listing--namely a clean, spacious lovely apartment in a great neighborhood and friendly and quick responses to questions about the apartment, city or neighborhood.. My dog went through two surgeries during Christmas and New Year's after eating something he shouldn't have, and it has required some retraining to spend time in the cage when I am out of the house so that it won't happen again. He has already gotten accustomed to it and feels more comfortable, barks less--and most importantly, he will be safe. I did explain this to my guests and asked for their understanding during that transition, which they seemed to offer. They did not notify me that it was bothering them at any point or I would have tried to do something about it. I don't expect this to be an ongoing issue.
Aryn (and Lloyd) are wonderful hosts! The loft is cozy, big and clean, and located in one of Brooklyn's best areas. Definitely recommended!
We loved staying at this place. Aryn was a more than welcoming host, and we were very comfortable. Clean-cut, cozy, and functional during a big NY blizzard. Highly recommend the bar/restaurant across the street for an end-of-the day stop for cocktails and late-night happy hour, as well as Eagle general store a few blocks down for a lazy Saturday morning toast and coffee.
