When we first arrived Lionel invited us in and did a quick walkthrough, he was very friendly and welcoming. He directed us to a great nearby neighborhood for dinner options, which we easily found (Brooklyn Moon, for delicious Caribbean food). The apartment itself is gorgeous, clean, and very thoughtfully designed, with many amenities and fully stocked with cooking utensils and appliances (and Nutella!). We loved the location, only two blocks from the A train which takes you both into Manhattan and to the JFK airport. We didn't spend a lot of time in the neighborhood but there are some good restaurants and a nice wine shop very close. We highly recommend this apartment.
What an amazing experience we had staying at your apartment! You made us feel very welcome and we have already told our friends how cool it was and how unique our stay was. Thanks again!
Our host Lionel was very welcoming and he and his young son spent some time settling us in to our apartment. The property was a lot larger than we had anticipated and was extremely comfortable with every amenity you would need. The quality of furniture and bedding was excellent. The property was easily accessible from JFK by air train then the A train. Even with considerable luggage we did it with little effort. The subway was only 5 mins away. Whilst there were a number of take away eateries and grocery and fresh fruit and vegetable stores you needed to walk a further 20 -30 minutes for a better choice of eating. This was our second visit to New York and we enjoyed staying away from the maddening crowd you find in Manhattan. We were there over the Memorial weekend holiday and our host recommended we visit the African festival in nearby Lafayette. Should you be there over this time in the future we would suggest you go. Lots of stalls with food, art, gift ware, clothing and jewellery in the streets. You do need to book tickets ahead of time for the concert hall to hear the choirs and see dancing. Our hosts were quick to respond when our hairdryer did not work which was a great thing. Consider this property for your visit to the big apple.
We had another great stay in one of Achuziams and Lionels cosy and very clean apartments in Brooklin. The flat is well organized and would also be perfect for a longer stay (e. g. big kitchen and fridge, kitchen equipment, bathroom) .
Achuziam and Lionel are very nice, uncomplicated and professional hosts. Thank you very much! - We will love to come back again.
Nice place to stay near from the subway and it was very simple to go to Manhattan !
We enjoy our stay in Brooklyn !
