Louisa's place is beautiful. A two level artist studio in a coach house behind her home. The studio is on the ground floor and the loft has a large comfortable bed. Wood floors throughout. The artwork is all by her and it looks great. The studio is spotless. Louisa leaves out a nice chocolate bar with the towels as a welcome.
Louisa herself was very nice and interesting to talk to. Also very responsive to emails. I would definitely recommend her place and also her artwork.
The place is nice, artsy and very convenient. Steps away from the red line T stop and all the restaurants/bar central square has to offer. I choose it for my parents to stay, and I liked it in particularly because it was close to my own apartment. I would recommend this to younger couple though. The gate/path in to the house was a bit dark and easy to trip. Not ideal for older people. Otherwise, the place is clean and big for two people. Make sure you don't run into problems of getting to the place, they have very strict and not very empathetic cancellation/changing policies.
When Dannie first inquired we told her we were out of town, but if she really wanted the space for her parents we'd figure out a way to have someone setup the loft and cut our vacation short in order to come home early to prepare it for her. At that time she said she understood, and she would very much appreciate it, and happily made the reservation. FF to Dannie asking for a refund for arriving a day late. There was no flight delay, no engine trouble, no unforeseen disasters - They just missed their flight and decided to come a day late. We said in this circumstance, we didn't feel comfortable with giving a refund for that night as we had already cut our vacation short, and inconvenienced other people in order to make sure the loft was spotless and ready for her arrival. Airbnb has a refund policy which is listed on every hosts page. I've been an airbnb guest several times in the past, and at times our plans got messed up and I would never try to blame my own mistake on someone else as Dannie is trying to do here. Once we did not agree to the refund she came back with ridiculous complaint after complaint about our loft - Which is pretty obvious as seen from all our fantastic guests' reviews (and many refunds we've given due to unforeseen circumstances) that Danny was just trying to get out of paying what she owed.
Lousia and Jamie are great! We needed a place to stay while our new home was being finished. They were so accommodating and helpful as our schedule kept changing - even resolving with an air conditioning issue late on a Sunday evening! The space is great, in a convenient location to great dining and bars while still being very quiet and private. Great spot and great hosts!
Louisa's loft is in a fantastic location, has beautiful and interesting design, filled with Louisa's art and is very clean. My family stayed in Louisa's loft during my wedding week, and my family, friends and I had a wonderful time. Thank you Louisa!
Great location, very arty and clean - thanks Louisa!
Louisa is fabulous and her loft immaculate and funky. I loved looking at her art during our stay. We had a fridge stocked with sparkling water and wine, both coffee and tea, and a little chocolate surprise too. The bed was very comfortable and the work / kitchen space fantastic. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Louisa is very generous and easy to work with. She also gave us a lunch recommendation "Life Alive" and it was delicious and right up our alley.
We had an excellent stay. Louisa was very nice and responsive - she provided some umbrellas when it unexpectedly started raining and let us use her driveway for parking, which saved us a lot of hassle. The location is great and apartment space is really fun - just like staying at a nice B&B - highly recommend.
Beautiful loft, very very clean, well equipped, excellent location. Louisa is a personable and attentive host. I hope to stay here again.
A great loft, in a perfect location, offered by an excellent host!
The space is beautiful and inspiring. I loved the open space, artwork on the walls, and big windows plus skylight.
I also loved the location; it's in the heart of Cambridge and right on the red line. The coffe shop around the corner is a great place to start the day and you're blocks away from many restaurants.
Louisa was a great host. The loft was in perfect shape when I arrived, Louisa greeted my personally, and she was very accessible and communicative throughout.
I'd definitely recommend Louisa's loft and would try to return when I'm back in Cambridge.
I booked this reservation for an employee who was traveling to Cambridge for work. Here's what he had to say: "Louisa and James were great hosts. The loft is beautiful and very spacious. I really enjoyed the sound system and the grill that they were happy to let me and a few friends use."
