Guillermo was a great host and was very attentive when needed. He was really chatty and eager to share local knowledge, especially about the art scene in the area. The flat itself is lovely, even better than the pictures. We absolutely loved it, it had that New York loft feel but in a basement! Very tastefully decorated in a creative artsy way, spacious and cosy at the same time, a lovely place to stay. It was immaculately clean. Despite the subzero temperatures we were never cold in the apartment. The boiler can be a little noisy (a constant hum when it turns on), so earplugs might be helpful for light sleepers. The area is amazing, full of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants, replete with street art; it's an area brimming with creativity whilst still maintaining an industrial feel, which we loved. 983 and Forrest Point were two of our fave places to have a drink and a bite to eat.The L Train is 5 minutes or so away which gets you into Manhattan very quickly. We would definitely stay again.
Everything went perfect. Guillermo is a great host, willing to help you at any stage. The apt. is close to the L line, which makes moving in the city easier. Eventhough the weather was bloody cold, the apt was in a good temperature. We´ll definitely stay there again in the future!
Guillermo was a really nice and flexible host and the apartment was comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend this apartment.
I really loved the apartment and it's style and details. It was warm, a 3-minute walk to the subway (or even less) and it has everything you need to cook a meal.
I didn't have any concerns and everything worked out just fine. Whenever I needed something I got an answer really fast and at our last day we could leave our luggage with Guillermo and he even called a cab for us. It was great.
Guillermo met us at the apartment upon our arrival. He explained everything and made us feel welcome. The location was perfect for being in Brooklyn with easy access to Manhattan. It was great to have a subway stop just 2 blocks away. We didn't spend much time in the apartment but it served as a warm and cozy place to relax when we were there. A few minor ammenities could have added to the stay, namely an extra pillow or two, a hand towel (though the bath towels provided were so nice and fluffy), and maybe some paper towels. We had some issues with the shower draining but it seemed to be a freak incident that Guillermo is taking care of. Would definitely recommend this listing for something affordable and close to everything.
Guillermo was the perfect host from start to finish and the apartment was everything we had hoped for (and more). Perfect location and incredibly easy to get anywhere in NYC. Couldn't fault a single thing and will be back here in a flash when we're next over!
