About my city :

Pune has a rich past. It abounds with palaces, temples and monuments. Places like the Osho Ashram draw in visitors from around the world.

Shaniwarwada: Originally built as the residence of the Peshwas, Bajirao I laid the foundation of the magnificent mansion in the year 1730 AD. A fire gutted this massive structure and now only the remains can be seen. The main gate is called Dilli Darwaja, the rest are Mastani or Alibahadur Darwaja, Khidki Darwaja, Ganesh Darwaja and Narayan Darwaja.

Aga Khan Palace: Built in 1892, this palace was donated by the Aga Khan IV in 1969 as a mark of respect to Mahatma Gandhi. This palace occupies a very important place in the annals of the Indian freedom struggle. Gandhiji together with his wife Kasturba and secretary Mahadevbhai Desai were interned at the palace from August 9, 1942 to May 6, 1944. Mahadevbhai and Kasturba passed away at the Agakhan palace while in captivity

This temple complex has temples dedicated to Devdeveshwar, Lord Kartikeya, Vishnu and Vitthal. It also houses a museum dedicated to the Peshwas and the samadhi of Nanasaheb Peshwa who passed away here.

Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum: Established in 1962 by Baba Dinkar Kelkar and donated to the Maharashtra government in 1975, the museum has about 20,000 articles belonging to his personal collection. The museum houses the entire collection of Baba Kelkar, a replica of the Mastani Mahal, research facilities and the Institute of Musicology and fine arts.

Osho International Meditation Resort: Located in Koregaon Park, Pune, the 40-acre meditation resort is famous for its tranquil setting with a perfect blend of natural and man-made structures. People from the world over visit this resort to rejuvenate their body and soul. It provides courses and workshops on massage, meditation, dance etc. It holds live theater events and houses an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Mahatma Phule Wada: The residence of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, it dates back to 1852. Located in Ganj Peth, the house has been converted into a museum and houses a statue of Mahatma Phule in the courtyard.

  • Preeti's apartment was exactly as promised, which is great. Very nice place to hang out, read a book, relax, and cook a meal. Neighborhood was very good and close to lots of great cafe's and restaurants. The apartment itself has everything you need and more... good satellite TV, nice sitting areas, great views, and for India the wifi is even pretty good! I selfishly don't want other people to know about this apartment so that I'm able to come back whenever I want! Will definitely be staying here again!

  • I stayed at Preeti's place for 6 nights and the experience was very good. The location of the apartment is very good but the locality seemed a bit strange in the beginning but we got used to it and it was not bad. The apartment has apt space for two people to live comfortably and is very well equipped. We didn't had any problem with the stay even if preeti was out of station. We were not able to meet her in person but she was constantly in touch through phone. The apartment is very cozy and loved the beautiful vases which preeti has placed that gives a very sweet fragrance all around the apartment. The kitchen is also very well equipped we used it to make two or three meals and didn't had any problems. The stay was very nice at Preeti's place and helped making my trip more memorable. Thanks Preeti

  • We had a great stay at Preeti's place. Initially I was skeptical when I saw the building but once we saw the inside I was lot more comfortable. Though we did not meet Preeti we had constant communication with her and the place is convenient and easy to get around. It is small but had everything working and there is a kitchen too but we did not utilize it. I would stay at Preeti's place when we visit Pune. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • My husband and I recently spent five relaxing nights at Preeti's apartment
in Pune. It is clean, bright, well-appointed and surrounded by trees which,
as other guests have noted, are filled with birds from morning 'til night!
It was wonderful to come back from a day of sight-seeing in the area and
relax with a view of the river. It was a relief to be able to take a nice
hot shower, do laundry and prepare simple meals while staying there. Though
we did not meet Preeti in person she was available via email and phone and
answered all of our questions promptly! I would not hesitate to stay at
Preeti's apartment the next time I visit Pune.

  • We came all the way to Pune, India from the Bahamas for surgery. We needed a comfortable place to stay for the 2 week recovery time and chose Preeti's apartment because all of the positive reviews she had received on Airbnb.
All of those reviews were just as described! Preeti was the perfect hostess. Her apartment was just beautiful with everything needed. Everything was in working order: cable TV, hot water, washer machine, WIFI. We didn't need the A/C because the Sept. monsoon weather was pleasant.
We loved waking up to the birds chirping and watching the tiny chipmunks hopping along the branches of the mimosa tree just out the window.
The apartment is ideally located in Koregaon Park. Grocery store, fruit stand, chemist, restaurants and shops are all within a five minute walk. More shops and wonderful restaurants are 5 minutes away by rickshaw. I took yoga classes at a nearby studio. The Osho resort is very close by and has a lovely park to walk through.
The neighbors were all very friendly, and Preeti was so nice and helpful. This was our first trip to India and it was quite overwhelming to the senses during the first few days, but after arriving to the apartment we settled in nicely. I can't wait to return to Pune!

  • Travelling to India with a girfriend for spiritual purpose, we've been to Pune to visit Osho's Ashram. Have met Preeti's apartment was a gift! Our original reservation was to stay for 4 nights, but we stayed so well that we decided to extand it to 20! The apart is lovable, clean, organized, everything works perfectly silence, super safe (specially for 2 western girls), very well located close to restaurants, bars, and rick shaw. Osho's place is 5 minutes walking. The area is also great and safe!
Even though Preeti was not in the city when we arrived, she has been extremely attentive, replyed emails and any requested in short time.
I SUPER recomend Preeti as a host and her apartment to stay.
Its apart is ABSOLUTELY one of the best apartment I've ever seen in India (I travelled in India for almost 4 months!)
    From 1 to 10? 11!
Preeti is a SUPER HOST and know how to make you feel very comfortable and at home.
Once you're in Pune, no doubt at all! Preeti's apt is the BEST option! ;-)
