About this listing
Fully furnished & recently remodeled room in Old Town Scottsdale. 4 bedroom with 2 people living here (the room available is the guestroom). We enjoy hiking & socializing
-3 miles Camelback area (Mall & bars) - 9 miles to Tempe - 14 to PHX Airport
The room is nicely furnished and you will have access to the upstairs bathroom (currently not used by anyone but guests).
I purchased the home mid 2013 after a complete remodel. I have since made many additions, so the place is definitely nice and well kept.
Amazing location! You are right in the center of Scottsdale. Besides Mill Ave (near the University), Old Town Scottsdale is the main area for active people under 50 & tourists. North Scottsdale has a few bars, shopping, and hiking, but limited nightlife. North Scottsdale is about 10 miles away.
Guests will be given a key to the front door to come and go as they please. The bedroom has a keyed lock as well. Please keep the place clean and looking nice and you are welcome to use the kitchen. Otherwise make yourself at home; please make use of the living rooms, the cover patio, and swimming pool!
Interaction with Guests
Really depends on the day and schedules. I work full time during the day (from my home office), so that will be pretty limited. We typically go out on Friday and Saturdays anyone is welcome to come if you would like. My roommate and I are pretty social and enjoy meeting new people.
Nice neighborhood in a quiet area, but still close to all of the Old Town shopping/nightlife.
There is a trolley (bus) stop about a 3 minute walk away that runs to Old Town. I believe it runs from early in the morning until around 10/11pm on weekends. A cab ride is probably about $10-15 including tip. Uber and Lyft are available as well (I have a discount card available for new Uber users).
Other Things to Note
I do have a dog (Goldendoodle named Hobo). He is stupidly friendly and does not shed much. He spends most of his time in the backyard and sleeps in his kennel. He is like a big teddy bear, so most people think it is a plus. I do have other dogs stay as well (there is an Airbnb concept for dogs), but they are quiet and typically fun to play with! Dogs spend as much time as possible outside and I keep the inside almost spotless, so I doubt you would see any hair.
I'll provide a little guide on check-in that describes where to find everything you might need. Otherwise please just use common courtesy :)
In my late 20's and employed full time in the tech industry. I enjoy hiking, going to the gym, socializing, going out with friends, live music, so on...
