Solo female traveler and I felt super at ease and welcomed by the hosts. I arranged an airport pickup and grandpa came to pick me up and had a sign with my name as I exited the airport. Great travel advice on how much I should expect to pay for a taxi to Mercado Mayoreo and it paid off as I got the tourist quote and was able to haggle it down. Rooms are great with personal bathroom, shower, fan. Breakfast was included and delish!

Very easy and cheap airport pickup by Luis by his wife who was also very helpful when trying to find a place to buy a sim card. Rooms are economical, clean. Hostel is very close to the Roberto Huembes bus station so ideal if transiting to bus to Rivas.

Were willing to pick us up from the airport at 1am (for a fee) which was great. Also the breakfast was delicious in the morning! Actually the best I had my whole time in Nicaragua. Located very conveniently close to the bus stop. Cute hostel with very friendly staff!

Amazing pick-up service from the airport. Walking distance to the bus terminal that takes you to Granda and other destinations. Felt very safe and welcomed my first night in Nicaragua

It was absolutely amazing. Abuelo was on time to pick me up with a sign in hand. I was a solo traveler with little spanish so i was originally nervous about getting to the LaCasa. The Hostel was clean, safe, and beautiful. The family was very accommodating, and the room was perfect. It is worth every penny, I highly recommend it.

The Hostal Casa de Los Abuelos was awesome, especially for the weary traveler! They were SO kind and treated me like family. The family dog Tacho was a highlight for me! Abuelo picked me up at the airport late at night, and took me back 2 weeks later early early, reasonable price and service excellent! I felt so well taken care of as a solo female traveler! Great breakfast, and we had some great laughs and visits. I only stayed one night each time in transit from and to the US. Sweet spot, so tidy and colorful and perfect!

Hostal Los Abuelos was a dream come true for the solo traveler staying overnight in Managua. Abuelo picked me up at the airport after 16 hours of traveling from the US, and that helped so much! He even carried my backpack on his head to the car! They treated me with such kindness, made me a yummy breakfast to die for (lotsa hot sauce!), and the rooms were so clean and perfect. Sweet little balcony, but I basically slept there and left the next day. The dog was a highlight! So cute and fun!

I'm Fabiola, but everyone knows me as "Fabby".
Along mi parents (knows as granparents) i manage the Hostel "La Casa de los Abuelos".
Is a family hostel so you can eat a great breakfast made by the hands of grandma, maybe you can hear nicaragua music from granpa and his guitar or you can hang out in the night with me.
It will be a pleasure to have you in our home!
