Flat with high standard, fully equipped, large terrace to the seaside,heating/air-con.,fire-place...100m away from the sea, bars, restaurants, bus stop etc. Awesome seaview!
On one side there are no neighbours,on the other side the roof of Hotel Xlendi, that means is is very quiet and undisturbed. Privacy guaranteed!
During summer it doesn´t get too warm as it is situated on the hillside,to open the windows is usually enough to cool it down in the evening.
For the winter it is a fire place, and of course heating. The beds have real covers not to get cold on a chilly evening.
A perfect place to relax, enjoy sundawn and sunsets, and to take a brake from hectic life!
The prices are based on two persons.
The check in and -out times are flexible as long as there are no other guests coming or leaving the same dates, unless it would be good to leave 12 and come sometime after 14. I also offer another flat at the same adress, advertised under "small flat with breathtaking view!"
A recommander !
le logement correspond bioen à l' annonce, tout est de super qualité
haut de gamme pour quelques jours sur Gozo
la baie de Xlendi aussi bien sur
on a adoré le resto DA manuel en haut de la baie
Communication with Oyfrid was very good and we were met promptly at the apartment by her worker Catriona. The terrace of the apartment offers a spectacular view which we did not use as unfortunately it was windy and quite cold. The wifi was really good. Catriona let us use the washing machine which is in a shared area which was useful. The apartment is a good size and is well described in the photos but we had a number of problems: there was no shower in the apartment only a small handheld one in a bath-tub so washing my long hair was impossible; one of the kitchen sinks was blocked (admittedly we didn't let Oyfrid know as we had already decided to leave); the linen including pillowcases on the bed was made of a brown synthetic furry fabric that we found difficult to sleep on; the apartment was cold and we were too scared to use the fuel (maybe propane?) heater. We left the apartment after 2 nights instead of staying 3 as we didn't feel at all comfortable in the apartment. We would have been more positive about the problems if at least the weather had've been warm/less windy and we could have used the terrace and there was a supermarket closeby to buy food to cook in the kitchen as we didn't want to eat every meal at a restaurant.
Furthermore there was a broken window on the lower stairwell which doesn't reflect the actual apartment but certainly impacted on my impressions of the whole apartment building and its upkeep when I first arrived.
First of all, if there are problems during a stay,it is always good to get in touch regarding the eventual problems the moment one finds out than to tell about it afterwards. There are of course a number of property owners in the building, and if their windows brake for instance due to storm, there is not much to be done about it.
The heater is a usual Maltese gas heater, used all over Malta. Would you have told that it was a problem for you to use it you would have gotten an ale trip one brought straight away. Also if any sink is tight,it would have taken half an hour to have it done.
Our other long haired guests have never had a problem with the shower.
All in all,it is possible just to send a mail if there is something not working. This review fallen very unfair
A perfect little seaside town with great restaurants with fresh seafood. The deck had an amazing view. We rented a wet suit and snorkeled in the bay. The apartment was well appointed and everything we needed. Be prepared for lots of stairs from the town and to the apartment itself. The washing machine was a great help as we travelled with our two boys. Lots of cute local cats. Gozo is easy to get around and Hertz car rental had incredible rates and service.
The apartment was really nice, and the view from the patio is even better than the picture gives credit. A couple things about the apartment I would have liked to know before booking: 1. There is no grocery store in Xlendi. It's not a big deal, but required more planning than we anticipated. 2. The heater (I visited in February) is a propane tank in a room. I didn't feel comfortable using it...
The host was great about responding to questions quickly and was flexible with arrival and departure times. Overall, a great experience.
The flat looks just like you see in the photos. It was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view. Catriona, the woman who manages the flat while Oyfrid is away, was very helpful and friendly.
There is no place to buy groceries in Xlendi, so if you plan to do any cooking, you'll need to travel to Victoria to buy food. But Victoria is only about 15 minutes away by bus, and the buses run quite often. You'll probably want to visit Victoria, anyway, so it's not a problem to pick up a few groceries before heading back to Xlendi.
From Xlendi you can easily walk to the Azure Window (just bring some water for the hike) or in the opposite direction along the coast towards Sannat. Whichever direction you go, you'll get incredible views of the sea, but the path towards Sannat has amazing cliff views.
I would definitely recommend this flat to anyone visiting Xlendi. The location is good, and the terrace allows for some relaxing evenings under the stars.
The view from the balcony is absolutely lovely. The flat itself is nothing special but with a balcony like that, who cares! :)
