The Space

This house is a classic Binker Barn on a very private 1 acre lot over looking the ocean. This is a unique house with a very private location. The house has a enclosed garden with redwood trees, Rhododendrons, Cedars and has large statues making the garden have a very Zen feel. This is a unique Sea Ranch house, there no other house that offers the privacy and views like this house.

The back of the house has a commanding view of the ocean. You can sit in the hot tub and see and hear the waves crash on the rocks.

The house was recently renovated. The inside, while keeping the classic Binker Barn feel has been updated to include a Gourmet kitchen and a ultra modern master bathroom. The house also has complimentary wifi.

If you golf, bring your clubs. The Sea Ranch Golf Course is a 12 minute drive up Highway 1.

The house sleeps 6, in 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 full and 2 bunk beds). Back deck has a large hot tub with a view of the ocean and complete privacy. Located walking distance from the Two Fish Bakery. + $90 cleaning fee.

Enjoy a video of Sea Ranch.

  • Sanjay's sea ranch zen retreat was a beautiful experience. The house provides a beautiful view from the living room. Being a cabin house, you would expect some curious bugs. It does seem however that the cleaning person did not spend adequate time clearing out spider webs, especially in bathrooms (which was more of an issue with my wife, but I can understand her concern if you have children in your party). I was worried more about not having cell phone coverage in case of an emergency ( both of us had AT and T and apparently only verizon works). Although there was a land line in kitchen, it did not seem to work when we stayed (we could not contact Sanjay as we did not have any means to). One interesting thing with the house is only bedrooms have window (website hidden), the living room and first floor bathroom does not have any blinds at all !!! of course, we could not use the downstairs bathroom. The house itself is very secluded from everything and hence offers privacy. The view from the the back of the house, while relaxing in hot tub is excellent. Sanjay was helpful in accomadating our last minute plans.

  • My husband, sister, and two young children stayed at this Sea Ranch home for a long weekend and had a lovely time. The yard is gorgeous--a family of deer walked by the full length bathroom window and rabbits hopped around the grass in the morning and evening. We loved the nearby bakery and the hot tub was awesome as well. Our only issue was that the home is a renovated barn and by renovated they mean that it looks like a beautiful home but has the interior insulation of a barn (ie none). This feels important to note for families with young children who may struggle to sleep well even the most quiet new environments or for couples or other groups who don't want to hear everything that is going on in the other rooms or other side of the house. Luckily, our kids did pretty well (I just woke one of them once by trying to do dishes while he napped). Finally, we could not find any cooking supplies beyond salt and pepper. No olive oil, zip lock bags/tupperware for storage, etc. which was frustrating. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

  • Very easy to work with Sanjay. The house truly is unique - it has an amazing view of the ocean and yet is very private. We loved using the bbq on the deck, seeing the stars from the hot tub, playing boardgames by the fireplace, and walking around the area and taking hikes.
The house is probably better for families than groups. Also, make sure to bring absolutely everything you need to cook - we needed to purchase even salt, pepper, olive oil, tin foil, etc. Definitely not a big deal - just required another trip to the grocery store (about 15 minutes away.)
Had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend this house!

  • Sanjay's house was wonderful. A perfect getaway. It's so relaxing, and you can hear the ocean at all times. The deck provides a wonderful place to read and relax, and the hot tub makes stargazing even better. It's only a 45 minute drive to a couple of wineries, and the supermarket in Gulala makes it easy to make sure you have all the supplies you need for the week. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with unbelievable natural beauty, this is your spot.

  • Our family had a great time at Sea Ranch and Sanjay's Zen Retreat was the perfect place to stay. The house was large enough for the 6 of us, we enjoyed the view, the hot tub and cooking in the kitchen. Our dog and our 11 year old daughter loved communicating with the wild turkeys that live in the area. Pastries and Pizza from Two Fish bakery were delicious.

  • Sanjay's house in Sea Ranch is beautiful. Very spacious and tastefully appointed. Feels like luxury rustic. Nicely situated for long walks to the beach and Two Fish Bakery. Just a few minutes drive from Gualala where there are more restaurants and shops.

    Perfect getaway from the city!

We have enjoyed this lovely Sea Ranch house as a family retreat for 10 years. Since our kids have grown up our visits to Sea Ranch have been reduced. We recently updated the house and are looking forward to sharing his unique house with our guests.
