We will be happy to share with you tips and references on local scenes, events, concerts and cool places to hang out. You will find daily recommendations on the notice board in the kitchen.
The apartment is located in the trendy Geula Street, off the “Vineyard of the Yemenites” (or “Kerem Hateimamin” in Hebrew) Neighbourhood. The neighbourhood was established in 1909 and it still maintains its original architectural outline. This chic area accommodates diverse restaurants selling typical dishes, ranging from high-end international cuisine to traditional low-budget tasty meals (for example humus and falafel kiosks). The numerous bars around attract local artists and bohemians just as much as they invite clubbers and younger crowds. Nearby is the “Carmel Market”, Tel Aviv’s famous open air market, locally known as “the Shuk” (the souk). Here you will find anything you need, from a variety of fresh fish, vegetables and meat products through trendy cafés to old-time establishments that serve ice-cold Israeli draft beer. Down Geula Street, exactly three minutes away from the apartment, is the stunning Geula Beach. In this wide sandy beach you can sunbath, swim in the Mediterranean Sea, play volleyball, futevole, and 'matkot' (Israelis favourite beach sport - two players, two wooden racquets and a small ball), or take wave-surfing and kite-surfing lessons in the local surf club.
Geula Street crosses Alenby Street, which is one of the main transportation hubs of Tel Aviv. This central location allows for easy access everywhere in Tel Aviv:
Buses: Most of Tel Aviv’s bus routes stop on Alenby Street and they reach literally all parts of the city. Main Bus lines are: (phone number hidden), and 11.
Taxis: Just swing your hand and one of the numerous taxis that drive around will stop instantly. You can also save money and take the local “sherut” taxi – a shared shuttle van working 24/7 along the main bus line routes.
Parking: you will find a low rate parking lot on our street, just one block from the apartment.
Bicycles: Recommended as the best way to explore Tel Aviv, we rent out bicycles for our guests on demand. *Please inquire when you book the room*.
You can also just walk around and enjoy the city by foot.
Just relax, enjoy your vacation, and have fun ☺
For me, it's DEFINITELY the BEST place spending time in tEL aVIV!!!
Really 3min to wonderful beach with surfspots and nice bars......and also 3min to centre - with various cafes, bars, restaurants, carmel market, culture, nice old buildings...
If you stay here, you're right in the middle! And you'll feel the pulse of this amazing, lovely, crazy & artful town!
And just as is moshes place! When I saw it on airbnb, I was falling in love with.....and still I am. All the rooms are lovely & artful designed and very clean. Everywhere you'll find a new small detail, decoration or art... and good energy is flowing there. So it's feel like home.
As well I loved my big bed on second floor - although the centre is next, the apartment is quiet.
And about moshe? He's an open minded person, very friendly, reliable and helpful. He can show you surfspots and other nice places, gives you advice and - before I arrived, he has answered all my questions. And when I was there, too.
So go for IT! IT`s absolutely recommended!
We were not satisfied with our experience staying in the Camel room (the one with the ladder; bed is upstairs). The overall organization by Moshe was good, the apartment clean and the location excellent but unfortunately our sleep was disturbed by the noise of the ventilation systems of the two bathrooms. The bed in the camel room is located upstairs and nearby the bathrooms. It felt as if we would sleep on top of humming ventilators. Particularly when many people are using the bathrooms, it gets pretty loud. I informed Moshe about the issue and he told me that he would try to fix the problem. Until then I cannot recommend staying in the camel room.
The place was cozy, in a great location and Moshe was very friendly. Highly recommend staying here
Moshe was willing to let us drop our stuff/check in early, though he was a bit late meeting us at the time agreed upon. However, he was accommodating and got the room ready for us quickly. The room was spacious and comfortable for a short stay. Some people might have a tough time getting up and down the latter to the beds but we were fine. The location was perfect -- just a couple blocks from the beach. Overall, good experience.
The place was quite small but adequate. I searched for only private apartments, and so was surprised when I arrived to find a room with a shared bath and kitchen. Apparently the listing made it through the search although it was a private room. Don't expect to fully stand up in the loft. Also, did not like that the front door to the apartment was unlocked and fully ajar. Despite this, the place was cute and close to the beach.
Nice location, clean. You get a room in a small apartment, and share a small kitchen with folks in 3 other rooms. We had no internet, despite making our host aware of this.
