Description

The Space

This beachfront private property lies right in front of the Pacific Ocean in a corner property consisting of two homes. The 2-story rustic Costa Rican has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Upstairs it comprises a lounge area with a hammock and rocking chairs, a bathroom, 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a bedroom with three single beds. Downstairs is a kitchen, living/eating area facing the pool and the ocean, a common bathroom, a room with a private bathroom and another bedroom with two single beds. The kitchen includes a fridge, a gas stove, microwave, dishes, glasses, pots & pans and utensils for cooking. The house is ideal for 3 couples and 5 individuals or groups ranging from 8 to 11 people. Sheets and towels are provided. Please bring your beach towels, mosquito repellent and most importantly, a bathing suit and sunblock. There is an onsite person that guards the property and works next door.

The pool lies in between the house and the beach and is the perfect spot for the most beautiful sunsets and the weekly Hermosa Beach afternoon surf tournaments sponsored by the next-door Backyard Hotel. There is an outdoor shower area in between plantain trees overlooking the ocean. A rustic BBQ is also available. Wi-fi is available in the house and there are fans in every bedroom and living room/lounge areas. A very large deck with a large wood dining table, rocking chairs, sofas and hammocks is also available when the owners are not vacationing in the next door house. Secure parking is available in the property for four cars.

Playa Hermosa is a quiet beach town known worldwide for its surfing, especially after hosting the world surf championship a few years back. The property is located right at the end of the town at the beginning of natural reserve to help preserve sea turtle nestling. It abuts the main highway known as La Costanera to the east, the Backyard hotel to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the west and an open cattle field to the south. Small restaurants, surf shops and other retail is located within walking distance. A yoga center is less than 1 km away. Surf lessons, Zipline booking, horseback riding and other activities can be also booked in town. Due to the town's location proximity to virgin rainforest, you will likely see Scalet macaws on a daily basis. Iguanas roam around the trees, roof and all over the property.
