About This Listing
Clean and modern, this one bedroom in the heart of Capitol Hill is the perfect place to start your Denver exploration. Blocks away from great bars, fantastic food, and public transportation but located on a quiet street.
You will love your stay here! My modern 1BD in the heart of Capitol Hill gives you the best of what Denver has to offer while remaining affordable and fun. Close to restaurants, nightlife, and attractions but on a quiet block for when you're home.
I recently moved into this wonderful place and while the walls are quickly gathering some decor, it is already fully functioning and comfortable.
There is 1BD separated by sliding doors--close for total privacy or leave open for some extra light and openness! The one bed is a queen size and incredibly comfortable. In the living room is a cozy mojito green couch that could accommodate a smaller person as well.
My condo includes many great amenities including:
* New appliances
* Washer/Dryer in unit
* Central heating/air
* One parking spot
* Bluetooth sound box
* Smart TV
* Fast wireless internet
You are also free to borrow my bike to get around the city. It's viewable in the images of my place!
Depending on your check-in date, I will hope to be available in person for all your questions and to show you around. Should I not be able to do so, I will be happy to speak over FaceTime and will also have a friend in the area on call for any emergencies.
Capitol Hill is wonderfully diverse neighbor. The primary residents here are young, creative types in their 20s and 30s who love being able to access the city by bike and by foot. And while you'll be near many fun activities you're far enough away from it all that it's incredibly quiet in the apartment.
You'll find a Whole Foods right around the corner, and bars are easily located just a few blocks away on Colfax. Should you decide to travel just a bit, it's incredibly easy by foot or by bike to get to Downtown Denver, the Downtown Broadway strip, and much more.
You'll be close to the 16th St Mall Ride (FREE!) and the Light Rail should you need it.
My floor unfortunately experienced some water damage this summer. A few of the boards have buckled and while it is very avoidable it's not very cute. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Interaction with Guests
You will have detailed instructions on how to get in to the apartment without me -- I will do my best to let you have your own adventure. :)
However, I am more than happy to suggest places to go during your stay or come by to let you in or hang out! Just let me know.
Please be respectful of the space and of my wonderful neighbors and building. As I'm sure someone of influence told you, it's best to leave somewhere better than you first found it!
There are no pets allowed in my apartment (although there is occasionally a very sweet cat the roams the hallway and belongs to my neighbor).
There is absolutely no smoking of any kind in my space or building. If you're looking to travel to Denver to experience some of our newly legal substances you'll unfortunately have to smoke elsewhere (or find something of the more edible variety).
Wes was a great host and his apartment was perfect. I would easily stay at Wes's place if I come back to Denver!
Wesley was super communicative and helpful throughout our stay! The neighborhood is great, very convenient to everything (especially the Whole Foods just around the corner). Everything was just as described in the listing :) If it's available, would love to stay here again next time we're in Denver!
Even though Wes was out of town and couldn't show me around, he sent a very detailed email with all of the information I needed on the apartment and the neighborhood I loved his suggestions for coffee, food and bars.
The apartment was great! Plenty of space and very clean and organized. Everyone I ran into in the building was friendly! A great neighborhood to explore. I am so glad I chose this lovely apartment in Capital Hill. My stay couldn't have been nicer!
Great apartment: super clean (like hotel clean); great location; easy parking. Wes left us a nice note, cupcakes, tea and fruit. I would definitely stay here again or recommend to friends visiting Denver.
We loved our stay at Wes' place. Everything in the apartment was just as expected and very neat and tidy. He also sent us a detailed email before our trip with useful information about things to do in the neighborhood. If you stay here, do yourself a favor and eat at nearby Wakano - THE BEST curry. (Thanks for the recommendation, Wes!) He was so considerate and responsive when we asked for a check-out extensive since our flight was scheduled late in the day. We would not hesitate to stay again!
Wesley was extremely hospitable, he even left some tasty treats for me to indulge in. He left an accurate description of how to get into the place, making it easy for me to get in. His place is in a great area, and far enough away from downtown that it is quiet but close enough to walk or bike to. The apartment is clean, quiet, and perfect for one or two people. I would recommend his place to anyone going to Denver for business or pleasure!
What a great place! Looked exactly like the pics and was the perfect spot for my friend and i to spend the weekend in Denver. Wes's place is super clean, tidy and convenient. Parking is definitely a plus! The apartment is within walking distance to many places and it's super easy to get around. Wes was a great host, providing us with a really awesome run down of the apartment and the area. Would definitely recommend staying here!
About the Host, B. Wesley
Hi there! I'm a 27 year-old Northern California boy living in Denver, CO. I'm a Software Developer & Designer, currently working for a great company here in Denver. I'm pretty easy going, quiet and respectful and have thankfully passed my partying prime. I love good food, great beer, and fantastic whiskey. :)
This year I'm starting to travel around a lot, and will be looking to share my place with awesome AirBnB-ers and find some of my own!
