The Space

I own a beautiful rural log home 5 minutes south of downtown Sturgeon Bay surrounded by huge maple trees, which are beautiful in any season but especially in the fall..I rent out 2 "country chic" guest bedrooms, rented separately ( a queen bed in each) with a shared bathroom. My bedroom is on the top level, so you have the run of the rest of the house with its huge living room, cathedral ceiling, cozy natural stone wood fireplace, cable TV, WiFi, dining room and shared kitchen. There is also a large deck which rings half the house, a firepit and an enclosed screen porch which is yours to use.
We are 2 minutes away from Potawatomi State Park and its wonderful hiking/biking trails, groomed ski./snowmobile trails and fishing/boating and kayak opportunities. Door County is a peninsula with 270 miles of shoreline and 5 state parks. We are known as an art and cultural paradise with live music, folk festivals, several live theatres,a vast assortment of wineries, art galleries, great places to shop, quaint boutiques and (my favorite..), antique stores galore. Door County caters for all 4 seasons.. Its been called the "Cape Cod of the Midwest"
I'm asking $110.00 per room per night (this includes Door County room tax and Wisconsin Sales Tax) which includes breakfast. I feed you exceptionally well... usually a home made hot breakfast, with great fresh-ground coffee in my French Press. You won't start a day of exploring hungry!

Price includes all Wisconsin and Door County Room Taxes...

Guest Access

I have a quaint wrap-around deck and porch. The porch has a roof over it. I also have a screen porch to use in the summer, so the bugs won't get you at night. I have a great fire-pit that my guests love to sit around and make awesome fires.

Interaction with Guests

I love to meet new people and get to know them. That's why I love's so wonderful to sit and share wine and talk. If you want to be left alone, I will do that also! It's great to enjoy a fire in my fireplace in winter, or a fire outside in my firepit. I've made lasting friendships with my guests, and I've had them return time and time again!

The Neighborhood

My house is nestled in a beautiful forest of maple trees. A walk around the block is a zen moment in itself...the trees are so tall and lush. It's just a 5-minute drive to Potawatomi State Park, or a 10 minute drive to downtown Sturgeon Bay.

Getting around

Sorry, Sturgeon Bay is a small town, so there is no public transportation. There is a local taxi cab though.

  • We had a fantastic time staying with Cheri. Her home was very comfortable and relaxing, a home away from home. She also was helpful in providing insight to the surrounding areas, and guidance on where to go and what to see. We would love to stay again some day.

  • Cheri's home was lovely - and she was a great hostess. We were there to visit children staying at a nearby campground, so we weren't interested in other Door County experiences, but Cheri was prepared with suggestions if we were interested. The home was beautiful, clean, and in a very quiet area. Cheri made us feel very comfortable in her home, making a lovely breakfast each of the three mornings we were there. She was open to our a.m. schedule and prepared breakfast when(ever) we woke. Not generally a fan of dogs, but Jack was lovable and very well behaved. Thanks, Cheri!

  • The house is beautiful and Cheri is wonderful! She cooked amazing breakfasts (even though she was very busy that weekend), gave great advice on fun activities in the area, and it was really nice to get to know her. Cheri balanced this kind of gracious hospitality with giving us space and privacy. I will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Door County. I absolutely recommend you stay with her. You won't regret it!

  • Beautiful home, located amidst a peaceful wooded area. Cheri and Jack (her sweet little canine companion) were awesome. Cheri wasn't home when we first got there, and she made arrangements for an extremely smooth check-in, telling us to make ourselves at home. Beds were comfortable and cozy, our private bath was a plus, and Cheri's home cooked (we were lucky enough to be there on a weekend when she cooks breakfast) Swedish pancakes with fresh berries, home made jam selection, and whipped cream were outstanding! We really enjoyed her and are looking forward to her planning a trip to our neck of the woods.

  • Cheri was a wonderful hostess. The rooms are tastefully decorated. She went above and beyond in making us feel welcome even though her own life is busy. She made such fantastic breakfasts that we weren't even beginning to think about eating food again until late afternoon. She willingly shared her knowledge of the area and suggested places but was never pushy. One of our favorite bed and breakfasts.

  • Our stay with Cheri in Door County was wonderful! She couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Cheri's cottage in Sturgeon Bay is absolutely beautiful and homey. If you are looking for a warm welcome and an incredibly friendly host, you will not be disappointed with Cheri. Her breakfast of Swedish pancakes and homemade raspberry jam was one of the best AirBnB meals we've ever experienced. She even made us a homemade rhubarb pie! Cheri is truly a gem and a host that you won't soon forget. We highly recommend staying with her and exploring the beautiful area in Door County, WI!

  • Cheri was a gracious host. Her log home is just as it looks with lots of beautiful antiques. Comfortable space, private bathroom.
Her little Jack Russell terrier was so sweet and very quiet.
Lovely wrap around deck, fire pit, screened in outdoor space as well.
We stayed two nights, drove all over Door county they (her friend Adrian) gave us great dining and hiking recommendation along with plenty of local pamphlets on the area.
Would highly recommend her place. Great breakfast as well!

  • Cheri was amazing in every way! She opened her home to us and made us feel so welcome and warm! We can't wait to visit again!

  • We came to Door County to go ice fishing. We caught zero fish. The good news is that Cheri's home and hospitality made the whole trip worth it. We arrived at night and Cheri quickly had drinks in our hands with seats near a roaring fire. She was great company, but also allowed us space to watch movies, take naps, and really do things on our time. We awoke a little later than expected on our second morning and Cheri prepared a big bacon and swedish pancake breakfast that I'm still thinking about. I highly recommend staying here and anticipate coming back.

I've lived in Sturgeon Bay my entire life, growing up on a cherry and apple orchard in Door County, which is a century farm, run by my brother, Kris Robertson. I work full-time during the week, and occasional weekends, so there are times I can't serve you breakfast like in a restaurant, but I will have food prepared for you to eat. I have a refrigerator for you to store your own snacks and beverages...My only request is that my home is not an all-inclusive, and I don't have a liquor license, so please don't think my liquor cabinet is a free-for-all.... I love to travel, kayak, bike, camp, hike, cross-country ski...Right now, I'm trying to hike around Door County, one beach (email hidden) recently become a grandmother to a beautiful baby boy, who I know will become the love of my life...(May 2014 - My Grandson just turned 2, oh how time flies!..and he "is" the love of my life!) I love to sew, especially felted mittens, but also enjoy cozying next to my fireplace watching a good movie. I have a jack-russell terrier named Chloe..she's another reason I love to hike..I refinish furniture, and recently have learned to upholster. I'm a people person, and it's great to meet them this way, by helping them have a great vacation while they're in Door County... Updated Dec poor Chloe lost her battle with kidney failure...and I miss her terribly...I recently adopted a 6 yr. old boy Jack Russell (named Jack). He is such a sweet boy and is making me very happy....I'm sure you'll enjoy his company too! And Dayton, my grandson is a healthy and proud of him!
