About This Listing
One of the city’s most famous neighborhoods is an excellent place to stroll and get a little lost. Coveted townhouses, restaurants, & designer boutiques dot the winding cobblestone streets. NYU makes its home here. So did Carrie on Sex and the City.
Enjoy our cozy apartment on a quiet West Village block. My lovely girlfriend and I maintain a beautiful clean, bright, and well equipped space that includes a big bright living space, a comfy bedroom, and a clean and cozy bath. The space is fully furnished and eclectically curated, on the second floor of a historic brownstone.
The building is a quiet and friendly place, where everyone looks out for each other.
The space will include ample and clean linens and towels; high speed internet (WiFi); a 42” HD screen with access to Hulu+, Netflix, and HBOGO; a workspace with an ethernet plugin and 19” auxiliary screen; and a kitchen stocked with all the tools you’ll need to get your gourmet game on.
Interaction with Guests
I'll be happy to help make your experience here loaded with fun stuff and yummy food. I've worked in the restaurant industry and I have a good sense of where to go out or order in. I would be happy to share my insight on where to drink, where to party, where to see a show, and how to enjoy the cultural bouquet NYC offers.
The Village is one of the city’s most famous neighborhoods and is an excellent place to stroll and get a little lost. Coveted townhouses, hot restaurants, and designer boutiques dot the winding cobblestone streets. NYU makes its home here. So did Carrie on Sex and the City and the gang from Friends. And, if you want to barhop, there are few better places than the West Village to do it.
For many visitors, however, the neighborhood’s past as a literary, artistic, bohemian, and activist hub is the draw. Edith Wharton, Jackson Pollock, Henry James, and Jack Kerouac set up house here. It's also where the gay-rights movement began (Stonewall), where Charlie Parker reinvented jazz (Arthur’s Tavern), and where Bob Dylan helped ignite a musical era (Gaslight Cafe).
Just minutes walking from Hudson River Park, The Highline, the Meatpacking District, and Washington Square Park.
Steps to the A C E and L trains (great access to Brooklyn’s coolest zones) and one block away from the 1 2 3 and B D F M trains. Almost all the major lines are at your fingertips.
If you would prefer to pedal, there is a Citibike rack on the corner.
Please be courteous if you bring anyone back to the apartment - no loud music too late at night, etc. Just use your best judgement.
Mike and Jess were the perfect hosts. I had to travel to NYC on really short notice, and Mike was very quick to respond to my request and answer any questions I had. The apartment has everything you need for a great stay, and it's in a great location. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I'd definitely stay here again!
We loved staying at Mike and Jess' apartment. The accommodations are very welcoming, clean, and cozy. They have a great setup and are very helpful, hospitable, and attentive hosts. The apartment is in a location in the heart of the city with fantastic restaurants and all the amenities you would need for a short or long stay. Very close to public transit (1, 2, 3 trains are closest and a short walk to A, C, E or Union Square). We were very happy with our stay!
Perfect location, walking distance to everything! Subway station just around the corner from the apartment. It was a bit noisy in the morning outside the windows on the street, but it's a common thing in the center of New York. This is my favorite neighborhood in New York. The house is situated at the junction of two districts - Greenwich Village and Chelsea. Both areas are known for its cozy restaurants and cafés, art galleries, trendy clubs and interesting shops. There are great places nearby - Chelsea Market, High Line Park and Hudson Park. Bicycle rental station is also just a few steps. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Check-in and check-out were clear and fast, without any problems. Before my arrival Mike provided directions to his place from the airport. While I didn't get to meet Mike and Jess, their friend Vivian was more than welcoming. I was a little bit late, but she was waiting for me. She even helped to drag my suitcase in an apartment on the third floor. The hosts greeted me with fruits and provided great coffee, knowing that I am coffee lover. Wi-fi worked perfectly. The apartment has a large TV with lots of channels. However, I did not use it even once, since there was no time for this. I had a great time in New York! Would recommend!
The apartment is preatty And clan, with all the comforts. The subways are righe on the corner. Great place to stay for holidays. Michael and his girlfriend are very nice and they welcome us with wine and chocolates.
