My romantic and cozy flat is close to Termini and Tiburtina Station and, if you like walking, you can reach the Colosseum in 20-25 minutes. It is well connected by buses and Metro and if you land at Ciampino or Fiumicino airport, you can easily reach it using the Leonard Express train that goes to Termini. It measures 40 sm and is perfect for 2 people, but you are welcome also if you are alone. It is beautiful, originally decorated with vintage and Kartell furniture and it is extremely private. It has a 1 and a half type bed very comfy, an equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a little living room with sofa! It is silent and sunny to enjoy the beautiful sky of Rome. Sure, I'll give you clean towels and blankets! You have wifi internet connection, television and washing machine. As I am living in the same area I can always help you and give any suggestion or advices you need.
The area (San Lorenzo) is lovely. This is a central and an historical neighborhood of Rome, well known for its typical atmosphere made of little boutiques, artists and students. If you want to eat the best pizza in town you have to come here and so if you want to enjoy the night with cinema, concerts or simply to have a drink. San Lorenzo never sleeps. During the day you have some nice places where you can sit and drink a good coffee or a cappuccino and just relax in a familiar and roman ambience. Give a look to my guide of the area, you will love to stay in San Lorenzo!

Gio was easy to communicate with and showed me the area. Its removed from central Rome but easy enough to access with public transport via (website hidden) maps which saved me. Its a nice little area with supermarket and great places to eat.
I had a lovely stay in Gio's studio, which was a little over a month. The studio is nice and spacious, with a cute decor and very comfy bed. Really enjoyed living in the neighborhood as well, there is a market close by and many good restaurants and fun bars all around. I would recommend Gio's studio to anyone and hopefully will stay there again in the future when Im back in Rome.
I enjoyed my Christmas holidays in Gio’s apartment, and of course roaming, visiting places, and getting thrilled in the beautiful Eternal City!
Gio’s apartment is near to the Termini, and is walkable (gmaps shows as 20 min for walking! and it is so if you step with normal pace). Also you will get TAXIs quickly, if you are carrying a bigger luggage or not in a mood to walk, anyway. I arrived at the Gio’s apartment in the evening. It was very clean, calm, and well equipped. The next morning my roam trip began. Roaming in and around the city during the day, and at the nights resting peacefully in the apartment; Cooking, watching television, browsing – just like at home!
When it comes to location, as a tourist I felt it is in a convenient location! All is because of the Tram #3! Just (and exactly!) 5 minute walk to the ‘Reti’ stop. It will take you directly to the most popular tourist destinations, Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Also with the same line, it is very convenient to go a beach of Tyrrhenian Sea in (Ostia) Lido region. For this you have to go Piazzale Ostiense stop in Tram#3, then side by is the train station Porta S. Paolo/ Piramide. There you will get a direct train to Lido (You have to take FC2 - Cristoforo Colombo direction). They are frequent, and looks just like metro trains. And now if you want to go the other popular destination, the Vatican, again take the same Tram#3. You will be connected to Metro Line A at S. Giovanni, or you can go to the next stop Manzoni where it is more convenient to reach the metro stop. There you will get metro directly to Vatican (Stop Ottaviano). Alternatively, you can walk to Termini and then catch the same train on Metro Line A. Also you can conveniently reach Villa Borghese and Via Vittorio Veneto on the same line. All I just wanted to tell is that reaching any of the popular destinations from the Gio’s apartment is very convenient!
About host, Gio is very Kind & Softly spoken. She interacts well & smooth. She was there in the apartment to welcome me when I arrived, and very patiently explained me about the apartment and also operating of the equipment inside the apartment. Later she gave me information about nearby shops, public transportation etc. In fact all the above explanation about reaching places is told me by Gio! Thank you very much Gio & thanks to Airbnb for the help in making my Roam trip enjoyable. If you are looking for an economical and convenient accommodation in Rome, I suggest Gio’s apartment.
Well, my first message to Gio before booking her flat was asking her if it is free and ok, and then it is my First Time in Italy and I wanted to REMEMBER THIS ALWAYS, and it was the right choice to make, Gio's flat (Studio) is everything you can imagine for a home in your journey, it is cozy, comfy and well organized. Bathroom is big, Kitchen is full of everything you need to use in order to prepare a decent meal (I like to cook my own food when i have time) I arrived around 3:30 pm at the flat as my flight delayed for an hour and half, and i found Cristina the lady supposed to meet me waiting (Gio was at work that time ) and even helped me with my bags, so from the first impression it is perfect. In the evening Gio knock my door and was there asking if everything is ok, and showing my around the flat, and asked me to turn on the heater which i rarely do,,, hehehehehe.
During my stay Gio was always there to reach by emails or direct calls, to ask her directions or where to find certain things, Occhio al Fantasma,,, hehehehehehe,, till the day i was leaving even before few hours of my flight she was there to say goodbye to me and wishing me a merry xmas.
The area is so nice and safe to walk and go even during the night, actually I can't remember a day without seeing people from my window walking on the street, drinking coffee by the cafe downstairs, or at the great pizzeria near the house having their dinner or snack. If you wake around 300 meters from the house and directly behind the Church you will find a small flee market, and few shops for fresh cheese, bakes, vegetables and fruits, fish and meat, so you can imagine that you don't even need to go on transport to get your daily things, all are just few mins of walking.
I highly recommend Gio's studio for anyone who wish to leave the real Roman's daily life. To anyone wish to see the beautiful faces of the people in the morning saying Buongiorno with a smile, even when they don't know you.
Gio, as agreed just few months and I will be back, cause you can never get enough from Italy in one visit, so from now on, I guess I will make it my destination for the coming few years, and Gio's studio gonna be my home during my visits.
We had a great stay at Gio's apartment. It's very clean and exactly as advertised. San Lorenzo is a very young and cool neighbourhood with heaps of cheap bars and restaurants just around the corner.
Gio was really helpful, easy to reach and answered all our questions straight away. She was a great host and we felt very welcome :-)
My stay in Gio's apartment was excellent. It had everything you need to enjoy your stay. The local neighbourhood was quite lively with lots of bars and small local shops.
I highly recommend the Odd Room restaurant down the street. The food and beer was great there. There are also many other small restaurants in the neighbourhood as well.
It was very easy to get around from there to the rest of Rome. Walking distance to termini station and several buses and light rail to take you where you want to go.
Really enjoyed our stay in Gio's apartment. It's in a great area with a supermarket only a few buildings down the road. There's a lot of bars that are all reasonably priced and it's only a 10/15 minute walk to Termini station. The apartment is nicely decorated and looks exactly like the pictures - it does get a little noisy at night if you have the window open but that's to be expected given the location. Would stay here again if I come back to Rome.
The appartment is nice - everything you need is there, nicely decorated and clean.
And with Gio you will have a very caring host, she seems to be really nice. So, all in all this is a very good choice - I certainly would pick this again.
