**Please message me about availability before sending a reservation request and include a a detailed description of the purpose of your trip and who you are traveling with or visiting.***

**As a single woman living alone, security is of utmost importance. Please make sure your profile includes a real picture of yourself and biographical information. The more airbnb verifications you can have, the better.**

**I do not take reservations that last longer than 3 weeks.**

You'll have your own cozy room downstairs that is more than half of the length of the entire apartment with an extra full size futon bed, large enough for a couple. Many of my guests have remarked that the bed is very comfortable. The room also includes your own private half bath, a table and chairs, lamp and a full sized closet. For showers you will share my bathroom upstairs. Towels and bed linens are included.

There is no door to the room, however, a charming spiral staircase connects the two floors, and I have put up a tapestry to create more privacy. I am incredibly conscientious of other people's privacy and keeping as quiet as possible. Additionally, I work long days, so you will have the place to yourself most of the time.

The apartment is located in the neighborhood of Park Slope, is only 2 blocks to the subway and only 1 block from beautiful Prospect Park. Other close and easily accessible attractions are: Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Grand Army Plaza, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Smith Street, Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn Bridge and Williamsburg.

Subway: the closest subway is the F/G train at 7th Avenue which is only 2 blocks away.

  • I stayed with ME for a long weekend in New York. She is a great host, very friendly. The apartment was exactly what I expected from the pictures and descriptions. Quiet at night, the neighborhood felt very safe and the subway is super close so it made getting around really easy.
I would very happily go back and can highly recommend ME.

  • I had a great time at M.E.'s place. Communication with M.E. - before my jouney, but also while I was there - was very easy, friendly and relaxed. I can only recommend the place and would certainly love to return some day!

  • M.E.Peters waited up for me as I arrived late and was as charming and accommodating as I could ask for. She was someone I would have loved to sit down and have coffee and talk to as we had numerous things in common. The room was clean, comfortable and suitable for my needs. I could not have worked out better.

  • I have to say I had a very welcoming time staying with M.E. She was super kind and accommodating. The cozy room I stayed in was very private, especially having a 1/2 bath. It was also very spacious. Her kitchen is very accommodating as well. I enjoyed coming home there every night. It's very very close to the train and different laundromats. M.E. is also extremely respectful of your space and time. I felt like I was staying with a fellow family member. Communication between me and her was also very prompt which is always nice. Highly recommend!

  • M.E. is a wonderful host. So kind and accommodating, really fun to talk to, a genuinely good person whom I will definitely stay with again if I'm in New York. Her apartment is wonderful as well, conveniently located in Park Slope, only a few blocks from the F and G trains which take you to the best parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Literally right across the street is the locally famous Ladybird bakery, where you can get some epic desserts or your morning coffee and a delicious tri-berry scone. Many other great eateries are walking distance as well, as is some great shopping. If you really want to go nuts, just take a short ride (by NYC standards) on the F train to SoHo and hit all the shops along Broadway. Then come back to Brooklyn and enjoy the peacefulness. M.E. also has a great backyard I didn't get to enjoy because it was freezing, but I look forward to drinking my morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening there if/when I come back.

  • M.E. was an excellent host and even had a guide to Brooklyn cheat sheet ready. The Naidre's cafe was a great little coffee/pastries spot right down the street, which is on her recommendation list. This made my first airbnb stay very reassuring that there is something left in humanity. Airbnb will definitely be my first choice when traveling around for work/pleasure, hopefully others live up to the experience M.E. provide. When I make my trips to NYC this will definitely be my first choice on the list.

P.S. she even provides secure wireless and internet browsing! :)

  • M.E. was awesome! Very accommodating and helpful. Place was set up perfectly. Park Slope area is the best!

  • M.E. was friendly, communicative and welcoming from the moment I reached out. Her easy-going manner and quick responses made a huge difference in my stay. I didn't get to see her much but she stayed in touch to check in with how I was doing and to see if I needed anything, which was such a nice surprise! She even offered to let me stay in her room an extra night when my flight out of NYC got cancelled. Though I ended up staying with a friend, I really appreciated her thoughtfulness.

The room offered a lot of privacy and I loved having my own little half bath during my stay. The bed is a large, futon-like mattress, so be aware of this if that matters to you (it doesn't bother me). The Park Slope neighborhood is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn and offers safety, easy access to the subway (and quick access to Manhattan via the F train) and plenty of restaurant options.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and hope to come back next year. Thanks M.E.!

  • I had a wonderful stay at M.E.'s. She was welcoming and considerate. The room was comfortable and tidy. The apartment is in a quiet, residential neighborhood and is conveniently located just 2 blocks from the F train. Recommended.

I'm a young single professional trying to make it big in the city! I work in the film/television business and have lived in New York for 9 years. I have travelled all over Europe, the Caribbean and have been to every state in America except 4. I would love to visit Portugal next. I'm originally from Miami, Florida. My family is in the restaurant business and really appreciate good service/accommodations. I love having my friends over dinner parties When you stay with me it'll be a "Southern Hospitality" experience in New York. I'd be happy to help you as much as I can to get to know the city. Or if you prefer a more private experience, I'm happy to leave you to discover the city on your own. Either way, will try to make you feel at home as possible.
