Caroline was brilliant making sure we would enjoy our stay. Her daughter picked us up at the train station, we were the only guests for breakfast the next morning and Caroline even let us know during the day that other guests arrived so that we weren't surprised if we'd hear someone.
The B&B was great: perfect walking distance to any place of interest in Kilkenny, yet in a quite street off the main street, so noise level was really low. The room was comfortable with its own spacious bathroom and a hot shower with water pressure you rarely get in Ireland. Caroline even provided us with tea, a water heater, changed towels every day, little bottles of shampoo etc -- all we could wish for. Breakfast was great, too: great service and a larger choice than many breakfast restaurants.
Would definitely recommend this B&B and we'll absolutely come back when returning to Kilkenny in summer.
O'Malley's Guesthouse is EXCELLENTLY located in Kilkenny proper. Caroline Croghan was a wonderful host (the breakfast was nice) and she even helped us take our bags upstairs. I can be somewhat fussy when it comes to cleanliness and I was extremely happy with the cleanliness of the room. I would definitely stay again! Good for the price.
The area was very nice, close and walking distance to Kilkenny town center. Which makes it perfect to walk to town, pubs etc.
We had a fabulous time in Kilkenny during its annual arts festival in August. It was one of our favorite stops while touring Ireland. O'Malley's was a delightfully quaint place near the city center. Our accommodations were very comfortable, breakfast was grand, and the small car park worked very well for us. Caroline gave us a town map and recommended a fabulous place to eat as well. The only drawback for us was that it was rather noisy outside the B & B late at night, though I'm not sure how much of that was it being the Saturday night of the Arts Festival.
We would certainly recommend O'Malleys for anyone spending the night in Kilkenny.
A regular bed and breackfast. Nothing special but they offered what expected. Location is perfect and breackfast was so good
A well located bnb near the centre of Kilkenny town. Comfy room, clean, with ensuite . Friendly staff, delightful Irish breakfast.
