An incredible module home off the stretch at mile marker 106 one block off a canal to the bay, it is so close to all the great night life in Key Largo too. The keys are not conducive to the South Beach feel. We have the best diving and snorkeling. Come enjoy Key Largos incredible fish, and Oceanic life. We include the use of our bicycles. We are walking distance to grocery shopping. If you are first time user click on the link for an easy explanation.... https://www.airbnb.com/c/nanderson3
We want everyone to have the best vacation possible. The Keys are paradise for us. Please be aware this is a lived in home. This is NOT a sterile hotel. We combined two family and we now have two homes. We try very hard to keep the house super clean. This is the tropics and that is a very challenging endeavor. You have full use of the kitchen and everything in it. So you are able to go to the grocery store and cook for yourselves. If there is anything in the refrigerator or cabinets use it. Sometimes you get real lucky and the guest before you really over bought.
About Key Largo
Key Largo is an island in the upper Florida Keys archipelago and, at 33 miles (53 km) long, the largest of the Keys. It is also the northernmost of the Florida Keys in Monroe County, and the northernmost of the Keys connected by U.S. Highway 1 (the Overseas Highway). Its earlier Spanish name was Cayo Largo, meaning Long Key.
Key Largo is a popular tourist destination and calls itself the "Diving Capital of the World" because the living coral reef a few miles offshore attracts thousands of scuba divers and sport-fishing enthusiasts. Key Largo is situated between Everglades National Park to the north-west and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to the east, the first underwater park in the United States and the site of the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States.
This is a family home so the main thing is to just be respectful of everyone in the house and of the things in the house. This is our get away home, you get complete privacy. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Smoking outside is ok. Free wi-fi is included.
You will have a key and can come and go at any hour.
Natalie's place is definitely unique and perfectly located! If you're looking the sterile environment of an expensive hotel, it's probably not for you, but if you regard it as someone's home, it is clean, lived in and cozy. The location is what sets this home apart. An easy walk to the grocery store and restaurants and just 3 miles from Pennekamp State Park with snorkeling, glass bottom boats and more. It was more than adequate and we would stay here again. It was nice to have complete privacy with the whole place to ourselves.
Natalie's property is very unique. I loved all of the various old trinkets and articles. We used it as a jumping off point to go to the Everglades and Key West, and it was perfectly located for that. The place itself was well kept and the interactions with Natalie were straightforward. We would definitely rent from Natalie again.
A large place with two BRs with double beds plus a day bed in a main room. However every available surface is filled with many vintage bottles, collectibles and odd items. All of which are hard to clean.
During our stay the sheets, towels and toilets were all clean. Kitchen appliances and other areas not so much.
This house would be great for larger groups of four or five that are used to living a little bit rough.
Natalie's place was a nice find in Key Largo for us. We wanted to see both Key West and the Everglades and easily got them both from Key Largo. THere's a grocery store close by(Winn Dixie) which was a quick drive, or about a 15 min walk. Thanks Natalie - appreciate the hospitality
Host did not greet us or give us any information about the area (there was someone there putting out linens, but our interaction with him was minimal). If your taste runs to "funky" then this space may be just what you are looking for. But not for us. The space was poorly lit, and so cluttered as to be impossible to get really clean. Photos on AirBnB convey a much rosier picture of the place than what it looks like in person. (Photos left by other guests give a better feel for the reality.)
Actually you were greeted by the owner, Glen. He was there to shake your hand and move in your luggage. He even left you his card. Natalie & Glen are a team, I did not realize you wanted both to be there. ... This is very confusing when your sticky note said you had so much fun....

We love to cook. We're learning to live organically and are in the process of growing our own vegetables. We are currently growing mango, avocados, lychee, longan, jack fruit, dragon fruit, loquat, ackee, bananas, jalapeno, cilantro, basil, oregano, thyme, sage, heirloom tomatoes, everglades tomato and numerous other plants . We also try to buy food only 30 miles from our house.
As diverse as we are as people we really just believe in "Down to Earth Living".
We're just trying to have fun with life! So come and join our eclectic family.
