Excellent location for my purposed: I was working on finishing my PPL, and this apt was a stone's throw from the island airport, which was ideal. (It's also a short walk from the Music Garden, Harbourfront and the TTC, which is great for those more touristically inclined!)
The apt itself was neat and tidy, without a lot of clutter. Internet was provided, though access was a bit sketchy at times (I am told the host is in the process of changing providers, though, so it should improve soon). The many stairs leading up to the condo were great for cardio, not so great when I was on my bike. But there is a bike lock up outside the condo building, so that as long as you leave your bike there, or are walking, it's all good.)
The washroom was a good size, and the main bedroom was bright and airy. The pull out couch in the living room was fairly easy to figure out, and offered a nice space for my 9-year-old twins to crash when they came to visit overnight.
The large doors on each end of the unit provided a nice cross breeze so that it was not always necessary to run the air conditioner. One note about noise, though, is that the apt is located across the water from Ontario Place. This means that you can enjoy (or cringe, depending on your musical tastes) the concerts coming from the ampitheatre there. The Dash 8s from the airport are also not without noise issues. But I must say that with the doors closed, the place was pretty quiet (and I was quite strict about this, as I was studying for my flight test. Doors closed provided an almost-silent environment.)
I enjoyed most of my meals out on the deck, which was surrounded by greenery. Groceries were within walking distance, as were several restaurants.
The host is very friendly and also flexible.
Overall, a great stay. I was sad to move out after three weeks! :)
