About this listing
My cozy attic bedroom is in a large Victorian house shared with three women in their 30's. The bedroom is very homey with an extremely comfortable pillow top queen bed, closet & dresser, beautiful plants, and a large private balcony off of it.
The bedroom is on the top floor of a 4 bedroom apartment that sits on the 2nd and 3rd floors of an old house. You would be sharing the room with my three professional female roommates who are in their early 30's, tidy and busy.
You will have access to the private balcony off of the bedroom, washroom with washer & dryer, and kitchen (no other common spaces in the apartment). There is street parking.
Interaction with guests
Depending on your arrival time and date I would do my best to meet you and show you around the apartment, and am happy to give recommendations on places to eat, shop, walk, and explore.
The Annex is one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Toronto. There are many old victorian homes lining large and small side streets, an abundance of restaurants and cafes, hip Bloor street with the hot docs movie theatre, and a general youthful feel to it. Korea town is a 5 minute walk to the north west, amazing Kensington market 10 minutes to the south east, Little Italy 15 minutes to the west... so much to see and discover.
The apartment is very conveniently located: 8 minute walk to Bathurst subway station (on the main Bloor St subway line), 5 minute walk to the College streetcar, 1 minute walk to the Wellesley/Harbord bus.
This is a very calm and quiet house, a place to hang out, rest and enjoy the city but not a place for parties. My roommates work Monday to Friday and we enjoy coming home to a relatively quiet space. The house is also smoke free. (The balcony can be used as long as the door is closed).
Here is a bit about myself. I am a professional dancer living in Toronto and working here and in Montréal. I travel between the two cities several times a year for contracts as well as travelling to Europe once or twice a year to perform. Outside of dance I spend my time cooking, reading, biking around the city, watching films (especially foreign ones), and having coffee or drinks on a patio somewhere with friends.
Five things I could not do without would be good conversation, good food, trips out of the city to sit among trees, lots and lots of sunshine, and getting to see the world - I feel like i'm just getting started with that!
Je parle un peut de Francais aussi, si vous voulez m'écrire en Francais!
