Private room in our Gorgeous Victorian House centrally located on a quiet, beautiful tree-lined street. Our house is warm and peaceful with great atmosphere.
This room is quite large and airy with a King Bed. Windows open and we have air conditioning in the summer months.
Bathroom is shared if our other airbnb room is booked.
Our house is close to Little Italy (5 mins), Kensington Market (10mins), Queen St W. (15 mins), Bloor St.(5 mins), Ossington (15 mins), and University of Toronto (15 mins). There are dozens of amazing restaurants, cafes and bars nearby on Harbord, College, Bloor and Ossington.
We are close to streetcars (3 minute walk to both College and Bathurst streetcars) and Subway (5 min walk to the Bloor/Bathurst station).
We offer wireless internet. We have a fabulous cappuccino machine (JURA) and lots of tea choices available to you at any time. And you are more than welcome to store basic dry foods in our 'airbnb' drawer in the kitchen or in the fridge. We provide towels, linen and basic toiletries.
We don't have parking at our home and in downtown Toronto you can't actually park on the street without a permit so we suggest parking in the underground parking lots (choice of two of them) at the end of our street.
Also you can get a temporary on-street parking permit if you (website hidden) Temporary on-street permit parking City of Toronto.

Interaction with Guests
We are sometimes away when guests are staying. If we are in town one of us usually works out of the house so we are around.
We are in one of Toronto's most amazing neighborhoods, close to downtown but on a quiet tree-lined street with big old Victorian homes. It's safe and peaceful and blocks away from such vibrant neighborhoods as Little Italy, Kensington Market, the University of Toronto, Annex, Ossington and Bloor St.
Public transit is very convenient. We are located right by the subway line and streetcars and within walking distance to downtown.
We do not allow anyone into our house who is not a paying Airbnb customer. This is our private home and we welcome you to it but we do not welcome your friends or others into the house with you. :-)
A great listing! The room was lovely and very comfortable, the location was ideal and the hosts' communication was beyond reproach. Recommended!
Vicki's place was absolutely gorgeous and very clean. The room has a lot of natural light and the bed was very comfortable. Although she wasn't there for the most part, Vicki left us instructions and recommendations on where to eat and how to get around.
We stayed in this really lovely house for 5 days and felt pretty relaxed. The host was away so we had the whole house for us - what a nice and quiet location. Would definitely stay here again ....
Great airbnb! What a beautiful house in a perfect location! Host was excellent, and even though we arrived quite late, he was there to welcome us and let us know where we could find everything. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Toronto!
I stayed here with my fiance for a weekend getaway to Toronto. We were greeted by Richard, who was very friendly. We didn't see too much of him. The house is located great location with tons of restaurants and shops around it. They are located right by Little Italy, where we ate the first night. They are just a short ride away to downtown as well. The house was clean and decorated nicely. The bed was SO comfy (the sheets were amazing too!). I would definitely stay here again.
This was my first time in Toronto and this was just the right place to be. The neighborhood was very wellcoming and although there was lots of snow everybody just made sure that the sidewalks were free of snow.
The house itself is charming and nicely decorated. I really felt like being at home. I had to struggle with the light a little bit, but that was just my not-knowledge of switches ;)
The room and bed were just right for me, however I used the kitchen and the living room a lot.
I didn't meet Vicki and Richard a lot since I wanted to see the city, but whenever I met them it was a nice talk.
The house is very nice and beautifully decorated. Vicki & Richard seemed like interesting people but we only saw them for 5 minutes. We had a little trouble getting in with the combination lock as they left no lights on for us! The bedroom was cold when we arrived but warmed up with the heater provided. The bed was large and comfy. Bathroom is down the hall a ways. Vicki responded quickly to all messages beforehand.

We are world travellers and have lived in Europe, the US and Canada. We are passionate about entrepreneurship, how we learn, culture change, human potential, photography and design. We have a vast collection of books (from those days when people bought books) with lots of great photographs (Richard's passion, along with flying) around our home. We love meeting new people and making connections that make the world a better place. As we are often travelling we look for independent guests who can let themselves in and manage on their own (with simple to follow instructions that we leave for you!).
