A relaxed and secluded home, suitable for couples, families or a group of friends. Fully equipped, very comfortable, with the best deck in Vanuatu! 15 minutes from Luganville, the capital of Espiritu Santo, on five acres of manicured land and 60 metres of absolute water front.
Sipping cocktails on the deck, washing up, cooking, even sleeping, the view is of the ocean and you'll hear it's sounds - gentle waves lapping against the sea wall.
It is a feeling of freedom to take a shower in the outside tropical garden area which is part of the house, only blue skies and trees above you, open but also very private.
The house has air conditioning and/or fans throughout, has a full size functional kitchen, one large separate bedroom with two double size beds, plus the very large living area that also sleeps 3 with one queen size bed, 1 single Sleeps 7 comfortably. (There is a divan that pulls out into a queen size bed in this area if required.)
Not recommended for children under 6 year old due to proximity to water. Very safe swimming, deeper waters await adults at the end of the jetty in the lagoon, even at low tide when the jetty is over beach instead of water. You may even be lucky enough to swim with Teddy & Tommy the two sea turtles when they are in residence, who call the lagoon home or take a kayak (provided) trip and get a glimpse of pods of dugongs: even a whale has been spotted not too far from our house. Snorkel the coral and view the abundance of reef fish just a couple of hundred metres in front of our house.
Two bathrooms and the outside shower. TV, (DVD'S only) & Internet connection, hair dryer, all linen & bath towels are provided.
If you are wanting a relaxing, peaceful, serene holiday, this is the place for you!
You can reach the house via taxi or private car. Santo is the largest island in Vanuatu but it's a sleepy place with boutique resorts, some lovely restaurants and a few fun happy hour spots. You can also enjoy many outdoor activities, amazing beaches and avoid the crowds of most holiday islands. A 2 man Kayak is available for guests on the property. Horse riding trails and fishing charters, snorkeling, spear fishing can all be booked on site. Beach, lagoon & jetty at your beck and call. A guest phone is supplied, with local numbers pre-entered that maybe needed, .
Interaction with guests
There is an on site manager (living next door) to look after your needs. She respects your privacy.
Other things to note
The property is 11 kms from Luganville, so you will need transport. Options are to either book a vehicle from car hire places or there is an abundance of taxi's which can be flagged down at the gate of the property. Check price before leaving, should be approx 1,000vt (about $12 AUD) into town.
This listing is my own home when I am in Vanuatu so we expect guests to treat it as they would their own home and have respect for others around especially noise after a reasonable hour.
No smoking indoors. There is a very large deck overlooking the ocean where we request you smoke
As electricity is extremely expensive we would appreciate it if air con be switched off when not necessary or when no one is at home.
Not suitable for children under 6 due to water safety

I am outgoing and love life. I couldn't live without my friends and family or Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu. I love meeting new people, love a good book and glass or two of wine.I love cooking and entertaining.I have written a book and am now writing a Manual on new people thinking of living on Santo.
At 69 years of age I have a full bucket list to get through, so my motto is 'get onto it, life is too short'.
