Interaction with Guests
We respond quickly to emails, calls and text messages. You won't see us or anyone who works for us unless you have a specific need.
There's a great free shuttle that loops to some major attractions. It's called the Santa Fe Pickup.
It's possible to fly into Albuquerque, take the Railrunner train to Santa Fe and take a taxi or walk to the condo and never need a car. Travel lightly if you're going to walk from the train station. It's about a mile from the condo. Or you could make a reservation on the Sandia Shuttle from the airport. It picks up and drops off at all hotels and B&B's in Santa Fe.
If you do have a car, there's plenty of off-street free parking in the parking lot adjacent to the condo.
Other Things to Note
It's one of the quietest and most private condos within Cielo Grande Condominiums. The unique top-floor location, at the end of the building, results in the best mountain views. Yet the unit is in a building set further back from the traffic than other buildings. Access to the condo is at the end of a breezeway on the top floor so no one is passing outside your unit trying to get elsewhere. Quiet & Privacy!
The DeVargas Shopping Center is three-tenths of a mile away for the convenience of longer term guests in need of the practicalities of day-to-day life including several well known local restaurants, Starbucks, Albertsons Supermarket, Save-On Drugstore, Office Depot, Post Office, a 'six-plex' movie theater, Hastings video and DVD rentals, as well as many other smaller stores and boutiques. Santa Fe Spa is a walk up the hill and offers some of the best workout facilities in town. Fort Marcy Fitness Complex & Pool is five minutes away by car, open to the public by the day, week or month and includes a full gymnasium, weights and aerobic equipment and indoor swimming pool.
Parking is right off 285/84 so commuters to Los Alamos, 'The Lab,' Santa Fe Opera, Taos, and other points north can completely avoid going through Santa Fe. Hop on 285/84 South, also known as St. Francis for easy access to the Plaza, Rail Yard District, Farmer’s Market, Museum Hill, and all that Santa Fe has to offer.
There's a newly installed flat screen TV mounted on the wall so that it can be watched from the living room, dining room and kitchen. The box TV pictured in the bedroom is no longer there.
Access to the condo requires going up twenty-one (21) steps. There is no elevator.
You should plan to bring your own toiletries, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo. Because of chemical sensitivities, we do not provide these things. You can also pick these up at the neighborhood supermarket or coop.

This condo, the location , amenities were absolutely perfect - we could not have done better! The proximity to downtown (the Plaza) of Santa Fe is so close , and also very close to the road to Santa Fe Mountain of which we spend most of our time skiing. In addition , just around the corner from Sprouts , Trader Joes and other great shopping for nights (days) of eating in. Cari and Walter were so thorough with the directions and description of the condo and quick to respond to my every question! Wonderful condo and will recommend to everyone I know heading to Santa Fe for vacation!
What an awesome place to stay! The condo is exactly as pictured on the Airbnb site. Super clean, and all ready for us when we arrived. We found it very comfortable and relaxing - - the kitchen was stocked with all you need to prepare a meal - dishes, pans, etc. The location was perfect for us - we could get anywhere in 5 - 15 minutes. Great shopping and restaurants - - the Farmer's Market on Saturday was fabulous - lots of organic foods to choose from if you are interested in cooking. We tried several restaurants -- The Shed, The Teahouse, Harry's Roadhouse, Andiamo to name a few -- all wonderful. Also, Kakawa Chocolate House was a tasty treat. Visited The Loretto Chapel, Georgia O'Keefe Museum and just had a wonderful time shopping around. Our hosts were very informative and responsive to any questions we had prior to arriving and while we were there. All in all a wonderful experience. We highly recommend this place if you are considering visiting Santa Fe.
The apartment was great! It is a quick, 5 minute drive to downtown Santa Fe and the city square. There is a beautiful patio from which you can see the mountains. We ate our breakfast there one morning. It was too hot to use the fireplace while we were there but had we been there in winter we certainly would have used it. It's also right next to the freeway. We took a day trip up to Taos and getting there from the apartment was very easy.
We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The apartment looks exactly as the pictures show. It was a 5 minute drive to the plaza and everything else was within easy reach. Cari was very responsive to any questions I had along the way.
"Scrupulously clean" was the phrase that came to mind when we checked in to the apartment. Possibly the cleanest airbnb we've stayed at, in fact. Everything is exactly as pictured, and the kitchen is definitely among the better equipped ones we've cooked in. If you are looking to cook, Santa Fe farmers market is absolutely worth your time and money! Oh, and get one of the cake doughnuts they sell in the corner concession area... the blueberry lavender blue corn one doubles both as a breakfast pastry and a salve for any emotional wounds. :) Additionally and importantly, Cari and Walter were fantastic hosts; their directions were super clear and easy to follow, and they were very responsive.
As far as location goes, you do have to drive to get places, but if you're balancing your trip between outdoor activities and stuff in the downtown or railyard areas, their apartment is perfect. We had a week of sunshine in the 60s and 70s followed by some snow the last night of our trip, and it was awesome to watch it all roll in from the mountains with the fire going.
Finally, just as a heads up to any sensitive side-sleepers, the mattress feels essentially brand new, and it is very firm. Took me a night to adjust, but after that I slept like a rock. As far as other practicalities go, the water pressure and temps are great... and whatever it is in the Santa Fe water, it made my wild curly hair look unbelievably good. Yay vacation bonus! ;)

This condo complex was our home for a number of years and we absolutely loved it. We've been renting our properties since 2006. In 2010 we moved to West Virginia and have since been managing our properties remotely. We have an incredible housekeeper and property manager who respond quickly to any needs that arise.
We're familiar with Santa Fe as tourists and residents and are happy to share any information you'd like.
