Great apartment, great neighbourhood, Isabelle very helpful with check-in and everything as described!
Would certainly go again!
This apartment in Montmartre is very close to 2 subway stations and it is better in real life than it appears in the photos. My husband and I stayed here with our 5 children, aged 5 to 16. It is a very small apartment but it has lots of impressive small space solutions. It worked very well for us because we were out most of the time and when we were at home the kids were often happy to take some time out in the bedrooms . It would be tight for a group of 7 adults looking to sit around and chat but then again who wants to sit in an apartment with friends when you are in Paris. Thanks Isabelle
The apartment was absolutely lovely and we truly enjoyed our stay. The location is superb right next to a metro station but still conveniently 100m away from the main street. All sorts of great bakeries, cafes, bars and restaurants can be found within a walking distance. We found the apartment to be spacious in general; toilet isn't the biggest but then that was totally fine with us given that shower is in a separate bathroom.
Isabelle was very a helpful host making sure that we would get the key to the place even though we arrived around mid-day.
All in all, staying at Isabelle's apartment was a lovely experience and we wholeheartedly recommend the place for others too.
Thank you Isabelle for having us.
The apartment was lovely, as was the setting. Could't have been more pleased with it. The host was also very helpful and easy to get in touch with, and very flexible on meeting times which was useful as we were arriving all at different times. Would definitely recommend, great value and a brilliant weekend!
The apartment has spacious bedrooms and living room, it is full of light, tastefully decorated, clean, and centrally located in beautiful Monmartre. We were welcomed by the daughter of the owner.
However, there are a few drawbacks which made our stay not as pleasant as we had expected: 1. There are very loud noises from the street 24 hours a day, and if the windows are open (which they had to be since it was very hot and there is no air condition in the apartment), it is very difficult to have a conversation or sleep at night. The owner was kind enough to bring us a fan when we asked for one.2. There were not enough towels. We were 7 people and we got total of 7 small bathroom towels, much smaller than what we are used to in the US. We asked in an email for a few more towels and got a rather rude response in French (!) - previous correspondence was in English and we are Americans - that she cannot provide the same services as a "grand hotel" for the price we paid and it was very rude of us to email her at 11:00pm.(We emailed, not called!) 3. The stove top was not working. The daughter who welcomed us when we arrived already informed us that the stove top sometimes locks itself automatically. We told the owner but she told us to read the instructions (printed in French and German!). We ended up not using the stove top at all. We did not contact her again because we were upset with her previous response to our email.4. The toilet is very small . Bathroom has a curtain and not a door, and there is no real shower.5. As mentioned in the listing, the apartment is on the third floor, no elevator, and there are over 50 winding steps.
We, two parents and two teenagers, lived in Isabelle's apartment for a week in July. We never met Isabelle, but her friendly daughter welcomed us in the apartment, even though we arrived a bit earlier than announced. She showed us the rooms and appliances, and answered the questions we had.
The apartment was just as described in the profile and in the comments from other guest. No surprises. Some parts need some renovation, but the place was functional and well suited for our vacation needs. The beds were quite good. The location, in Montmartre and near the metro system, was great.
The final day we were welcome to stay until we were ready to go the airport in the evening. That gave us almost one extra day in Paris.
All in all we would recommend this apartment, at least for groups of 4-5 persons.
An absolutely wonderful stay for our two families - gorgeous apartment, amazing neighbourhood. Merci!
