I contacted molly about the house and found her extremely helpful. She helped me plan a weekend away for a group of ten girls. She recommended a mini bus company and Belleek Castle which both turned out to be excellent. I met her partner Ward on arrival, very friendly and helpful also.
We rented the entire house and it is truly fabulous. It is an old house which has been lovingly restored. It's huge and the beds are really comfortable and bathrooms stunning, great showers!
There is a huge amount of space which allowed us to really relax and we had room to host a meal for ten along with a bar and several reception rooms. There's also an extensive DVD collection, great sound system and a pool table.
The home was beautiful- amazing 200year old mansion! The views of the ocean were even better. Ward (Molly's partner) is a fantastic cook- thank you for the wonderful authentic Irish breakfast!
Amazing house and great views. Molly cooks beautifully and we were so we'll feed for supper and breakfast. Nice relaxed place with heaps of character
She was so welcoming despite our very late arrival and the breakfast was really lovely. It is in a great position with an old garden with a mown grass walk near the sea. There are old tumble down stone outbuildings and old roses - very evocative and a work in progress. The house itself had big airy rooms and good beds - all very stylish with antique mirrors and beds and bare floorboards with rugs. A lovely, unusual place to stay - we loved it!
Beautiful house, lovingly restored by its owners. We chose the self catering option for our party of ten adults, four kids& four babies. It was perfect!
As we had been driving through rain to get to Easkey, we arrived an hour or more earlier than arranged. Although Molly was out, Ward welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. The room we had was beautifully appointed with a view over fields to the Atlantic. We were very comfortable. The renovations to this country property are a work in progress but it has everything needed for a great B&B.
Breakfast in the kitchen with the other guests was enjoyable with a good Irish breakfast with some choices and good company.
We enjoyed exploring the area although Irish friends had wondered why we were staying in Easkey. They have now been educated to the delights we found, fossil hunting on the rocky beach, chatting to locals and the barman in the Fishermen's Weir Pub, climbing Knocknarea and visiting the Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery.
On the first evening, Molly suggested we eat at the Beach Bar about 20 minutes drive away and for the second night we arranged for Molly to cook a meal for us. Both meals were delicious.
What a wonderful house, Molly is a great host. Breakfast and chat included. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. Hope to stay again later in the year. Many thanks for the warm welcome. Hope to have a jam around the piano next time. Loved it!
